However, he soon deduces that if Magna and Luck are responsible for his powers being drained, their Anti-Magic may also be impacted. As a result, he makes the decision to turn the tables.

This is why Magna opted to battle Lucius alongside Luck, knowing that if his powers were affected during the fight, he could still gain the upper hand by combining his powers with Luck's.
