Shueisha's Comic Bunko recently announced on Twitter that Naoshi Komi's original manga, Nisekoi – False Love, will be reprinted with new chapters that take place 10 years after the original story. The manga's last update was a spin-off chapter that was released in December 2018 to celebrate the live-action adaptation of the series. The first two volumes of the Nisekoi – False Love reprint are scheduled for release on June 16, with the next two volumes following on July 18.
Raku Ichijo, the protagonist of Nisekoi – False Love, is the son of a yakuza family who becomes embroiled in a rivalry with the Beehive Gang when he is forced to pretend to date Chitoge Kirisaki, the daughter of the gang's leader. As a child, Raku made a promise to marry a friend if they ever met again, but he can only remember the promise vaguely and has lost the key to the pendant that symbolizes it. When Chitoge helps him search for the key, they develop a mutual dislike for each other, despite the fact that Chitoge may hold the key to Raku's past. To complicate matters even further, Raku is secretly in love with someone else.
Nisekoi – False Love, written by Naoshi Komi, initially appeared as a one-shot in Jump Next! magazine before its serialization in November 2011. The manga went on for 25 volumes until August 2016 and has been available in English on VIZ Media's digital Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since November 2012. The new reprint of Nisekoi – False Love will feature a ten-year time-skip and will include 16 volumes, with the last two volumes containing fresh content not found in the original version.
The Nisekoi novel series titled Nisekoi: Urabana (Inside Stories) written by Hajime Tanaka, which includes spin-off short stories based on the original work, will now have three additional volumes. These reprint volumes will feature new cover art and will be in a bunkobon paperback format. The release of each volume will occur on the 18th of every month, with the first two being released on June 16.
