Zachery Ty Bryan, 41, was arrested this week after an alleged physical domestic dispute with an unnamed woman. It has been discovered that he had previously contacted the police in Eugene, Oregon, a few months ago regarding an incident involving his fiancée, Johnnie Faye Cartwright.

In April, Bryan reported to the Eugene Police Department that Cartwright, 30, was threatening to harm herself by stabbing her stomach. He claimed to have received text messages from her expressing feelings of betrayal and thoughts of self-harm. At the time, Cartwright was pregnant with twins, Parker and Sequoia, who were born in May. The couple also has a daughter, Kennedy, born in April 2022. Additionally, Bryan has four children from a previous marriage with Carly Matros: twin daughters Taylor and Gemma (born in 2014), daughter Jordana (born in 2016), and son Pierce (born in 2019).

According to the report, it was mentioned that the Home Improvement alum accused Cartwright of using suicide threats as a manipulation tactic when she disagreed with a decision. However, it was acknowledged that she had not attempted suicide previously. Bryan expressed to the police that he believed Cartwright's statements were a fake display and stated, "I just make the money."

Following this, law enforcement authorities reached out to Cartwright. In the April police report, it was mentioned that Cartwright admitted to having a heated phone conversation with Bryan but denied any suicidal intentions. She also accused Bryan of being an alcoholic and expressed that she was finished with the relationship.

One month after the incident on May 18th, an unidentified woman contacted the police from the residence of Cartwright in Eugene, Oregon. As mentioned in the police call log acquired by Us, the woman reported receiving a call from her former boyfriend and requested assistance. The report indicated the presence of audible "yelling" in the background.

The police intervention at the property occurred several months earlier to Bryan's arrest in Eugene on Friday, July 28th. He faced charges of assault, robbery, and harassment, comprising two felonies and one misdemeanor.

Following Bryan's highly publicized arrest, Cartwright issued an exclusive statement to Us, expressing her constant desire for the well-being of the father of her children.

She further acknowledged that trauma can manifest in various challenging ways. Recognizing the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the situation, she emphasized that the truth often diverges from the narratives presented. Cartwright respectfully appealed to everyone to safeguard their privacy, enabling the healing process for both the children and their families to commence.

Bryan faced legal charges in October 2020 related to an altercation with Cartwright, including felony strangulation, misdemeanor fourth-degree assault, and interfering with making a police report. In February 2021, it was confirmed that Bryan agreed to a plea deal. Under the agreement, he pleaded guilty to menacing and fourth-degree assault, while the other charges were dropped. As a consequence, Bryan was put on a three-year probation and mandated to participate in a violence intervention program. Additionally, he agreed to refrain from any contact with the victim, although he later reestablished his relationship with Cartwright.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in June, just before his most recent arrest, Bryan expressed his view that the 2020 incident had been exaggerated. According to him, the altercation did not involve physical violence, but rather escalated to loud arguments, with the sound carrying due to the thin walls of the townhome.
