Barack Obama made a trip to London to meet with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The 62-year-old former US president greeted Sunak, who is 43 years old, with a wave before entering the Prime Minister's office on Monday, March 18.

Sunak's official spokesperson informed The Guardian that Obama visited London as part of his trip for work with the Obama Foundation. They had a casual meeting to exchange information. The discussions between Obama and Sunak covered various topics, with a focus on artificial intelligence.

The spokesperson mentioned that President Obama's team reached out for a meeting, and the Prime Minister was pleased to engage in a conversation about the work of the Obama Foundation.

After leaving the White House, Barack and Michelle Obama announced the creation of their own foundation in January 2017. Barack mentioned that the center would be located on the south side of Chicago but added that it would support projects not just in the city, but also across the country and around the world.

Barack's visit to London occurred a month after Sunak gained attention for speaking about King Charles III's cancer fight.

Sunak expressed his shock and sadness during an appearance on BBC Radio 5 Live. He mentioned that his thoughts are with Prince Charles and his family, and he is grateful that the health issue was detected early.

Sunak also mentioned his hope for Prince Charles, who is 75 years old, to fully recover after receiving the necessary treatment. He assured that he is in regular communication with Prince Charles and will continue to stay in touch as usual.

Sunak expressed his concern, saying, "He’ll be in our thoughts and our prayers. Many families across the country have experienced similar situations and understand the impact. We will continue to support him and hope for a speedy recovery."

When questioned about his future meetings with Charles, Sunak confirmed, "I will maintain regular contact with him, as I always have. Our meetings will continue as usual."

President Joe Biden expressed his concern about Charles' diagnosis in February, mentioning that he had heard about it and hoped to talk to him soon.

Biden also shared his thoughts on social media, sending prayers for Charles and the people of the United Kingdom. He highlighted the importance of hope and courage in facing a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, and expressed solidarity with His Majesty for a speedy and complete recovery.

In January, Buckingham Palace disclosed that the King needed a "corrective procedure" for an enlarged prostate. While in the hospital, Charles' doctors discovered another health issue, described by the palace as a "form of cancer."

Royal reporter Omid Scobie revealed in February that Charles' diagnosis was not prostate cancer. However, the royal family has not publicly disclosed the specific type of cancer or its stage.
