The developer assures fans that the delay will be brief. The official Twitter account for Ark: Survival Ascended stated that the game is still undergoing certification and will not be released on Tuesday as planned. Studio Wildcard predicts that the remake will launch "later this week," without providing further details.
In the past month, Ark: Survival Ascended faced significant problems on console, causing a delay for the remake. However, just last week, Studio Wildcard revealed that the game would be launching today, November 14, on Xbox Series X|S, with a PS5 version following later in the month. Therefore, it is somewhat strange that the release date for the Xbox edition is now missing, considering the recent confirmation.
Previously, the dinosaur game was unexpectedly launched on PC in October, available for $40.50 through Steam Early Access. Apart from having cross-play functionality, the Xbox edition of Ark: Survival Ascended is expected to have similar features and content as the PC version once it finally becomes available.
In addition to this remake, Studio Wildcard is also working on Ark 2, featuring Fast X star Vin Diesel. The sequel has been delayed to 2024 and--like Ark: Survival Ascended--runs on Unreal Engine 5.
