Ariana Madix, 38, revealed in a recent interview with Extra that she looks to Taylor Swift for inspiration when she wants to feel like a powerful force. The reality TV star expressed her relatability to a particular quote from Swift, where she says, "I get tired but I never get tired of it." Madix acknowledges that while she hopes to take a break or go on a vacation someday, this sentiment resonates with her perfectly.
Madix has been quite occupied lately. Following the conclusion of season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, she has embarked on a journey to compete on season 32 of Dancing With the Stars, accompanied by professional dancer Pasha Pashkov. Additionally, Madix is eagerly preparing to open her sandwich shop, Something About Her, in collaboration with her co-star Katie Maloney.
Although Pump Rules season 11 is scheduled to premiere in January, Madix's participation in DWTS has already garnered attention due to her exceptionally precise performances. The reality star expressed to Extra that her meticulous attention to detail is what contributes to her receiving impressive scores from the judges.
“There are certain things like the Pasodoble that I learned from Pasha this week which require a very specific technique and body position. If I were to perform it without incorporating that technique, even if I performed it well, the judges would not be satisfied," she explained. "It would take away from the authenticity of the dance. While I might think it was great, the judges are paying attention to those specific details that I might miss at home."
Madix is gearing up for Taylor Swift Night following her outstanding performance to Whitney Houston's "Queen of the Night" on the November 14 episode of the ABC series. She hinted that her upcoming performance will pay tribute to the popular pop star.
"There will likely be some hidden surprises, following Taylor Swift's signature style," Madix revealed in a recent interview with People. She further mentioned that she and her dance partner, Pashkov, age 34, will be performing to the chart-topping song "Cruel Summer" from Swift's acclaimed 2019 album, Lover.
Pashkov, sharing his thoughts, stated, "As a dancer, I find Taylor Swift's music to be perfect for elegant rumbas, foxtrots, and Viennese waltzes. We are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to perform a stunning rumba routine to one of her captivating songs."
Pashkov also suggested that they will express their admiration for Swift in a different manner: "We will also honor one of her outfits by incorporating it into our costumes," he playfully mentioned.
On Monday's episode of DWTS, Swift unexpectedly appeared in a video to send her best wishes to the dancers for their show on Tuesday, November 21.
"I'm so excited to watch Dancing with the Stars celebrate my Eras next week," exclaimed the Grammy winner. "Although I'll be on tour in Brazil, I'll be there in spirit and tuning in."
Currently, Swift is embarking on the international leg of her Eras Tour, which began in Argentina earlier this month. The talented "Anti Hero" singer recently showcased her talent during three consecutive nights at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, where her boyfriend Travis Kelce made a special appearance to support her during his bye week from the Kansas City Chiefs. Swift's next destination is Brazil, followed by Asia, Europe, and Australia, before concluding the tour in Canada and the U.S. in October 2024.
