Ariana Madix is telling the whole story after a clip from season 11 of Vanderpump Rules caused viewers to jump to the wrong conclusions.
Bravo previewed several scenes from season eleven on Wednesday, December 13th, following the release of the streaming series #PumpRules: A Decade of Rumors and Lies on Peacock. The extended version of the special included a discussion between 38-year-old Ariana and Katie Maloney regarding Tom Sandoval.
“I feel like the house is the only thing holding things together. What I find to be irrational is that he wants to buy me out and continue living here,” Ariana told 36-year-old Katie in the video. “I'm sorry, but then you don't have to move, and I do?”
Katie couldn't comprehend why Sandoval wanted to keep their shared home with Ariana after their breakup, stating, "If he can afford it, he should just buy something else."
After nearly ten years together, Sandoval, 41, and Ariana ended their relationship in March due to Sandoval's infidelity with their former costar Raquel Leviss. Following the scandal, Sandoval and Raquel, 29, remained in contact and suggested they might pursue a romantic relationship.
After filming the season 10 reunion, Raquel entered a mental health facility and later announced she would not be returning to the Bravo series. Additionally, she and Sandoval ended their relationship. In a previously filmed clip from earlier in the summer, Ariana provided her reasons for not wanting to sell the house to Sandoval.
She exclaimed in a confessional, "What, are you really going to have your little pen pal come back here? I absolutely do not think so. Tom and Rachel seem to still be together from what I can see, because they keep exchanging mail and packages. Rachel even sent a postcard covered in lightning bolts. Find a new angle already."
Ariana responded on social media to clarify her reasoning after fans raised questions, commenting, "We declined because his offer was terrible and we received nothing in return, Jesus, it's going to be a very long season."
Since their separation, Sandoval and Ariana have been faced with inquiries regarding their living arrangements. They bought their home in 2019 after being together for six years. Sandoval confessed on the "Howie Mandel Does Stuff" podcast in April that he had nowhere else to go and was responsible for managing their home, including gardening, housekeeping, and overseeing other aspects of the household, as he didn't have many friends to rely on for accommodation.
The co-founder of Schwartz & Sandy stated that he was able to avoid encountering Ariana by using a mediator, explaining that they communicate through text to coordinate their comings and goings in their large home. He also mentioned that the house has not been listed for sale yet, and he is glad to see Ariana's success. Ariana defended her decision to stay in her home, noting that she is taking care of herself and has created a comfortable living space for herself. She also emphasized that she has worked hard to achieve her current lifestyle without relying on money.

The ex-Dancing With the Stars participant stated that she feels much more at ease not worrying about when he might enter the house. She mentioned that it's a relief not having to think about him coming into her bedroom because she keeps her door locked while she sleeps. Recently, Ariana addressed the delay in her move, explaining that she is working on resolving the issue of house ownership and urged his lawyer to get back to hers as soon as possible.
