Aoki Lee Simmons Exposes Shocking Misogyny in Public Feud with Father Russell Simmons

Russell Simmons' daughter, Aoki Lee Simmons, fearlessly expresses her thoughts amidst the ongoing public feud within her family, undeterred by the opinions of critics.

On Wednesday, June 21, the 20-year-old utilized her Instagram Story to convey a direct message to those who have yet to acknowledge her perspective in the tumultuous dispute within her family. She penned, "I can't help but wonder how the women in your lives - your mothers, sisters, daughters, nieces, girlfriends, and wives - would feel upon witnessing the sexist, racist, and frankly offensive comments and messages that some of you 'men' have directed towards me."

She continued: "The derogatory stereotypes and offensive language used in many of your comments reveal a deep-seated prejudice against women of color. It is evident that you are seeking to channel your anger and resentment towards women, blaming them for how you perceive you have been treated. Your generalizations, such as 'all b*tches are like this' and 'this is the problem with you girls/women/black women/bitter women/hoes/skanks today,' are not accurate or fair. Instead of pointing fingers at others, perhaps it is time to reflect on your own behavior and attitudes."

She stated that she has received negative remarks after publicly criticizing the 65-year-old music mogul. The comments she received were from a 40+ year old male stranger who angrily accused her of representing bitter black women. However, she made it clear that the recipient of these comments was not a 20-year-old individual like herself.

Aoki shared a throwback photo of herself with Russell on her second Instagram Story. She expressed how he had always advised her to defend and take care of her mother and to never tolerate a man cursing at her. She mentioned that he had told her to call him if any man ever tried to yell at her or scare her because it was never acceptable. Aoki addressed the toxic men in her comments who claimed to be defending Russell but were disrespectful towards women. She dismissed their grievances and stated that her father would agree with her, emphasizing their pathetic behavior.

The New York native, who was married to Kimora Lee Simmons from 1998 to 2009, shares Aoki and daughter Ming Lee Simmons with his ex-wife. The family's drama gained attention when Aoki's sister paid tribute to Kimora on Father's Day instead of acknowledging Russell. This led Russell to suggest that Kimora was the cause of the strained relationship with his children, posting a cryptic quote on Instagram. In response, Aoki took to social media to share deleted texts and video messages from her father.

“My father’s health has been declining for years, and despite needing help, he stubbornly refuses to acknowledge it. He not only fails to recognize that he is not himself anymore, but he also poses a threat to my sister and my grandma. He consistently lashes out at anyone who doesn't reassure him by saying, ‘Ooh Russell, everything is fine.’ However, the reality is far from fine.”

Kimora defended her child, but Russell Simmons publicly apologized to their daughters on Instagram. He acknowledged that God is testing them and reassured them that it's okay to be strong during these growing pains. He expressed deep remorse for his frustration and yelling, emphasizing that his love for them is unconditional and that he loves them even more than he loves himself.

Before his family tension raised eyebrows, Russell was previously accused of sexual misconduct by 18 women. He has denied all allegations.
