Rosalynn Carter, the former first lady, passed away peacefully at her home in Plains, Georgia, on November 19 at the age of 96, just two days after the Carter Center announced she had entered hospice care at home. Jimmy Carter, who is 99, began receiving home hospice care in February after several hospital stays.
