Currently, I am working on Star Trek and I couldn't have asked for a better group of actors. Despite not being a series regular, I have been warmly welcomed by everyone. The showrunner, Akiva Goldsman, and Henry Alonso Myers are simply amazing. Anson Mount, who plays the lead, is a genuinely great person. Ethan Peck, who portrays Spock, is also a dear friend of mine. Overall, it's an exceptional show.

Will Paul Wesley Return As James T. Kirk In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3?

Paul Wesley has not been confirmed to reprise his role as Lt. James T. Kirk in season 3 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Although he joined the USS Enterprise crew for a musical episode, Wesley's character was absent from the season 2 finale. Production for season 3 was originally scheduled for May 2023, but it was halted due to the WGA Writer's Strike, which was later joined by SAG-AFTRA in their picket lines. It remains uncertain when production will resume and whether Wesley's Kirk will be involved.

However, Lt. Kirk still has unresolved matters in Strange New Worlds. He shared with Lt. La'an Noonien-Singh (portrayed by Christina Chong) that he has a pregnant girlfriend named Carol Marcus. Both James and Carol could possibly make appearances in season 3. While Kirk has been rapidly advancing in Starfleet ranks and became the First Officer of the USS Farragut, he may still need to learn under the guidance of Captain Christopher Pike (played by Anson Mount) on his journey towards becoming the future Captain of the USS Enterprise. Paul Wesley's portrayal of James T. Kirk was certainly a great fit with the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds cast, and their positive working dynamic makes it clear that Wesley and Kirk would be welcomed back anytime.
