AnnaSophia Robb's Jaw-Dropping Transformation: Watch Her Step Back in Time, Rocking Her Beloved American Girl Doll 'Samantha' Dress After 18 Years!

AnnaSophia Robb revealed in a recent podcast episode that she is still able to fit into the clothes she wore in movies from 18 years ago. During the conversation on "Broad Ideas With Rachel Bilson," Robb, now 29, shared that she even wore her childhood movie costume for Halloween last year. She specifically mentioned receiving the "Samantha" dress from the 2004 film "An American Girl Holiday" from her mom. When asked how old she was during the filming, Robb replied that she was 11 years old at the time.

Samantha befriends a servant girl named Nellie, played by Kelsey Lewis, in the film. The cast also features Mia Farrow and Rebecca Mader.

Robb, in a past Instagram story, posted a picture of herself in the costume. In the image, she confidently wears a brunette wig reminiscent of the beloved doll and flaunts the identical hairstyle. Along with a checkered dress, she pairs it with black stockings, combat boots, and minimal makeup. "We need an American Girl Doll who...?" she humorously captions the post, encouraging her followers to playfully jest about her appearance.

In another part of the podcast episode, Bilson and Allen inquired about Robb's childhood doll play. Robb revealed, "I was a fan of the American Girl Dolls, but they were quite pricey!" She further explained, "I actually didn't own any American Girl Dolls until I starred in the movie."

Since her movie role, Robb has expanded her doll collection. In May 2021, she delighted fans by sharing a carousel of images on Instagram to celebrate American Girl Doll's 35th anniversary. The first picture showed a 10-year-old Robb beaming while receiving a Samantha doll. As fans swiped to the next photo, they were treated to a current picture of Robb cradling a doll that strongly resembled her.

"Here's a photo of me as a 10-year-old on the set of SAMANTHA, where I'm ecstatic about my new American Girl doll, Samantha Parkington," she wrote. "Swipe to see me now—still excited about my American Girl doll that looks like me.

Although we enjoy seeing Robb's doll fashion, her personal style deserves attention as well. Last month, she shared her whimsical fashion on Instagram, wearing a dress from Dôen (which is also one of Sofia Richie's favorite stores.) In the photo, she spins around a field wearing a mint green maxi dress with floral embroidery, flowy sleeves, and a black ribbon tied at her chest. To enhance the fairy-like look, she styled her blonde hair into a half-up 'do, adorned with a matching black hair bow. Her bangs perfectly frame her face as they are parted down the middle."
