Angelina Jolie has been asked to provide years of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) as part of her dispute with ex-husband Brad Pitt regarding their shared winery.
Recently, on May 16, a judge in Los Angeles Superior Court approved Pitt's request for Jolie, aged 48, to submit all NDA contracts she entered into with third parties from 2014 to 2022.
The actress was given a 60-day deadline to produce the relevant documentation. A source tells Us that the ruling is a crushing legal blow for Jolie.
NDAs became a key component of the exes’ dispute over the Chateau Miraval winery when Jolie claimed that she backed out of selling her stake in the company to Pitt, 60, after he requested that she sign a mutual non-disparagement agreement.
Jolie, who sold her shares of Miraval to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler in 2021, said that Pitt’s request to not sell their shares without permission was unfair and invalid.
On the other hand, Pitt’s lawyers disagreed with Jolie's argument. They pointed out that Jolie regularly uses NDAs herself, so her claims about Pitt's proposed NDA being controlling are just an excuse for her own sale of her Miraval stake.
Jolie's lawyers argued that if she had made others sign NDAs as broad as the one she called 'unconscionable,' it would weaken her reason for ending negotiations with Pitt.
In addition, Pitt's legal team stated that Jolie requested him to sign an even wider non-disparagement agreement regarding their divorce within six months of selling her Miraval shares.
Judge Lia Martin shut down Jolie's argument that the NDAs she's been asked to produce are irrelevant to her legal battle with Pitt on Tuesday.
The ruling stated that the Requests are important to discover if Jolie's defense regarding the NDA and breach of contract with Pitt is genuine or just a pretext.

Julie is required to provide all proposed NDAs, regardless of finalization, within the agreed timeframe. She must also submit NDAs from her controlled companies and explain the reasoning behind the agreements.

The legal ruling is the most recent development in the ongoing legal dispute between Jolie and Pitt. In February 2022, Pitt took legal action against Jolie, alleging that she violated their agreement by selling her shares in Miraval to Tenute Del Mondo, a wine company owned by Shefler's Stoli group, without obtaining his approval.
After being together for a decade, Jolie and Pitt exchanged vows at the Miraval chateau in August 2014, following their acquisition of a majority stake in the wine company back in 2008. Following their separation in late 2016, they were officially declared single individuals in 2019.
Editor's P/S:
The ongoing legal battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt over their shared winery, Chateau Miraval, has taken a dramatic turn with a judge ordering Jolie to provide years of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). This ruling is a significant setback for Jolie, as it suggests that the court is skeptical of her claims that Pitt's request for her to sign an NDA was controlling and unfair.
The dispute over the NDAs stems from Jolie's decision to sell her stake in Miraval to a Russian billionaire in 2021. Pitt claims that Jolie violated their agreement by selling her shares without his consent, while Jolie argues that Pitt's request for her to sign an NDA was invalid. The judge's ruling that Jolie must provide all NDAs she entered into from 2014 to 2022 is a clear indication that the court is taking Pitt's claims seriously and wants to determine whether Jolie's objections to his NDA request are genuine.
