Discover the truth behind Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt's on-set clash in Hollywood's latest feud frenzy Uncover the drama, tension, and behind-the-scenes secrets of the entertainment industry's biggest conflicts

During the production of The Devil's Own, there were certainly creative differences between Brad and myself. Although I have a great deal of respect for him as an actor, we didn't always see eye-to-eye on the direction of the film, the script, or the director's vision. This led to a tense atmosphere on set, but we both remained professional and focused on delivering the best possible movie for our audiences.

After Brad Pitt developed the script, I was offered the part. Although I admired Brad as a wonderful actor and really decent guy, we couldn't agree on a director until we brought in Alan Pakula, whom I had worked with before but Brad had not. I wanted a complication on my side so that it wasn't just a good-and-evil battle, and that's when I came up with the bad-shooting thing. Despite working with a writer, we found ourselves shooting without a script that Brad and I agreed on, as we had different ideas about the character and the construction of the film. While I understand why Brad wanted to stay with his point of view, I was imposing my own, which caused complications. Nonetheless, I like the movie very much.

How Feuds Rule Hollywood

The pressure of Hollywood production can often lead to intense conflict, with millions of dollars and reputations at stake. This stress is felt by all involved, including actors who can suffer financially and personally from a poorly received film. The Rock and Vin Diesel's infamous feud on the set of Fast & Furious is just one example of how tensions can boil over, while even parodied feuds like Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's have their own cult followings. When so many people are invested in the success of a project, arguments are bound to arise. The Devil's Own was no exception to this rule.

Despite its lack of popularity today, The Devil's Own serves as a testament to the fact that Hollywood disputes need not spell the end of respect between actors. Even though Ford has openly acknowledged his differences with Pitt, he continues to have unwavering admiration for Pitt's abilities. More than 25 years after the film's release, Ford remains content with the final product and holds Pitt in high regard, despite their past conflicts.
