Less than a year after his passing, Allison Holker is commemorating the birthday of her late husband, Stephen "tWitch" Boss.
"On this day, we commemorate the memory of our beloved Stephen tWitch Laurel Boss," Holker, 35, expressed on Instagram on Friday, September 29. "He remains in our hearts and minds, providing us with strength, guidance, and uplifting us. His presence is felt daily, and we will always cherish the precious moments we shared."
Holker and their three children - Weslie, 15, Zaia, 3, and Maddox, 7 - visited Boss's gravesite with flowers in a heartfelt post. She expressed gratitude for feeling his presence and celebrated Sir_Twitch_alot's birthday as a reminder of the gift he was and still is to the world. They sent their love to him.
Holker paid tribute to her children for their resilience in the face of their father's loss. In an Instagram post on September 28, she expressed her pride in them and their ability to keep love in their hearts as a guiding force. Although they have experienced difficult moments, they rely on each other for support and upliftment. They start each day by reminding themselves that they are capable of overcoming challenges. These vulnerable moments bring them closer and make them stronger together and forever.
In December 2022, we received confirmation that Boss was discovered deceased at a hotel in Los Angeles. He was 40 years old. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later determined that the DJ had died by suicide.
Boss and Holker first crossed paths on season 7 of So You Think You Can Dance in 2010, where they both captured the spotlight and began their rise to stardom. As the show progressed, they not only returned as all-stars but also became known for their impressive dance skills on various social media platforms, frequently sharing captivating videos of their performances.

Holker shared her thoughts on her now-husband when he first appeared on SYTYCD as an All-Star, stating that she thought he was incredibly attractive and found his personality to be quite enjoyable. The couple got married in 2013 and later had two children together, a son named Maddox and a daughter named Zaia in 2016 and 2019 respectively. Additionally, Boss adopted Holker's eldest daughter Weslie, whom she shares with her ex, in 2008.
In August 2023, Holker posted a video on Instagram where she shared her first clip of herself dancing after Boss' death. She expressed her joy in being able to dance again, mentioning that it truly felt good. In the video, Holker showcased a hip-hop routine alongside choreographer Brittany Perry-Russell. In the caption, she revealed that she experienced a mix of emotions, feeling both scared and excited. However, Holker acknowledged the constant support she has received from dance throughout her life, even in her current circumstances, and expressed her gratitude for it. She also thanked Brittany Perry-Russell for creating a fun and safe environment for her during the routine.
The mom of three has also shared updates on how her family is coping with their loss.
Two months after Boss’s death, Holker thanked fans for their support and opened up about her grieving process.

Despite the difficult and emotional journey, the sharing of stories, precious memories, and impactful moments, as well as the various ways Stephen has touched lives, has brought forth an abundance of hope and inspiration. Holker expressed his desire for us to hold onto the emotions he evoked within us, and to remember that we are capable of progressing from that point. He emphasized our ability to choose love, grace, and kindness despite any obstacles we may face.
In June, Holker paid tribute to her deceased husband on Father's Day by posting a monochromatic family portrait on Instagram. The caption for the June 2023 post expressed their everlasting love for Stephen.
