Alec Baldwin was approached by a heckler in a coffee shop about the death of Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust. In a video posted on social media, Baldwin was at Maman café in New York City when the incident occurred. The person also brought up the war in Gaza and asked the actor, 66, to comment on it.
The host of the "Crackhead Barney Experience" podcast asks Alec to say "Free Palestine" once. He accuses Alec of killing a lady and not getting any jail time. The heckler continues to pressure Alec to say "Free Palestine" and accuses him of putting innocent people in jail.
An employee tries to remove the podcaster from the coffee shop, but Alec intervenes. He holds the door open and gestures for them to leave. Baldwin tells the heckler to get out and suggests that the employee should call the police.

The podcaster responds, "You know he's a criminal. Just say 'Free Palestine' once and I'll leave you alone. Free Palestine. Forget Israel? Forget Zionism. Please say it."
Following this, Baldwin turns to someone off camera and asks, "Can you do me a quick favor?" before hitting the phone.
In a video caption, a podcaster claimed that Alec Baldwin, whom they called the "white devil," attacked them while they were getting coffee.
The heckler was talking about the tragic incident where cinematographer Hutchins was fatally shot on the set of Baldwin's movie Rust. Baldwin, who was holding a prop gun that fired accidentally, has not been convicted of any crime. The incident resulted in the death of Hutchins and the injury of director Joel Souza.
In an interview with George Stephanopoulos two months later, Baldwin denied responsibility for the shooting. He stated that he did not pull the trigger and would never aim a gun at someone and fire. Baldwin expressed confusion about how a live bullet ended up in the gun, mentioning that it was not supposed to be on the property.
Baldwin faced involuntary manslaughter charges in January 2023 and entered a plea of not guilty. However, the charges were later dismissed three months after. Following an investigation into the firearm, it was revealed in August 2023 that there was a possibility of reinstating the manslaughter charges against Baldwin. The investigation findings indicated that the gun had to be triggered for it to discharge.
Baldwin was charged with involuntary manslaughter for the second time this year after the investigation.
In a statement to Us in January, Baldwin's attorneys, Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro, expressed their anticipation for their day in court. If found guilty, Baldwin could be sentenced to a maximum of 18 months in prison.
Baldwin was involved in a wrongful death lawsuit filed in February 2022 on behalf of Halyna's husband, Matthew Hutchins, and their son. The lawsuit was settled later that year.
Earlier this month, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer on the set of Rust, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for involuntary manslaughter after being found guilty in March.
Editor's P/S:
The encounter between Alec Baldwin and a heckler in a coffee shop highlights the ongoing controversy surrounding the tragic death of Halyna Hutchins on the set of "Rust." Baldwin's denial of responsibility and the subsequent dismissals and reinstatements of charges raise questions about the handling of the case. The heckler's demand for Baldwin to express support for the Palestinian cause further complicates the situation, drawing attention to the intersection of personal tragedy and geopolitical tensions.
The incident also sheds light on the emotional toll that such events take on those involved. Baldwin's reaction to the heckling, including his suggestion to call the police, suggests that he is still grappling with the aftermath of the shooting. The heckler's persistence in confronting Baldwin, despite the presence of an employee trying to intervene, underscores the need for empathy and respect in addressing such sensitive issues.
