Both Alan and Saga have their individual chapters that comprise a significant portion of the gameplay in Alan Wake 2. Players are able to switch between the two characters during their progress; however, at a certain point in the story, an automatic switch occurs once sufficient progress has been achieved. Return 6: Scratch serves as a relatively brief mission, but it serves as a setup for the climactic finale of the game. This chapter offers numerous discoveries, including the acquisition of a potent new weapon.

Go to the Sheriff's Station
Venture through the forest and exit the Elderwood Palace Lodge to reenter Bright Falls. Strangely, the lodge appears untouched by the cult's attack. Find the entrance to the Sheriff's Station along Main Street. However, it quickly becomes apparent that something has gone terribly awry. The station is dimly lit, devoid of activity, and the power has been cut off. Amidst the chaos, an injured FBC agent seeks refuge in a nearby closet.
Thoroughly search the area, eliminating the lurking Taken that resides in one of the nearby rooms. With its demise, Saga will confirm that the danger has passed. Return to the FBC agent, ensuring to retrieve the map of the Sheriff's Station from the wall behind the reception desk. Engage in conversation with Estevez to gather more information about the current situation and discover Alan's whereabouts. Regrettably, Alan is being held in a cell that is inaccessible during the power outage.
Get the Power Back On
Use the key to unlock the Sheriff's Office and gain access inside. Within a secure glass case, you will discover the Pump Action Shotgun. Obtain this powerful weapon by inputting the code 723. Proceed towards the side of the station where the Conference Room is located and descend the stairs to reach the basement. While exploring the basement area, head north to locate a gate that can be opened using the Boltcutters. Here, you will stumble upon a hidden cult stash securely stored in a box. To unlock the stash, simply enter the combination 146 into the lock.
To progress the narrative, continue heading southward. Interact with Casey to gather additional information about the current predicament. He provides players with a fuse to be utilized in the fusebox, conveniently located within the same room. However, brace yourselves for an impending confrontation, as a group of Taken beings descends into the basement, demanding combat readiness.
How to Beat Scratch
Go back to the first floor and check in with Estevez. Then, make your way towards the holding cells. Alan can be found in the back cell on the right. Engage in a conversation with him to initiate a cutscene. Shortly after, players will come face to face with Scratch. Although his dark shield cannot be burnt away, he can still be damaged. Look around the arena for several glowing boxes.
Shoot Scratch until he ceases his movements and swiftly head towards one of the boxes. Press and hold the button to activate the box, then proceed to shoot Scratch once more in order to render him temporarily incapacitated. Continue this process until all the boxes have been activated, at which point a cutscene will be triggered, effectively concluding the current chapter.
Alan Wake 2 is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
