In the story "Return" of Alan Wake 2, players are taken to the Coffee World amusement park in Waterly, assuming the role of Saga Anderson, the game's second protagonist. Upon reaching the park, players will discover that the staff is missing, and the entire area has now been overrun by cultists. As there are no employees available to grant access to the gift shop, Saga must locate an alternative route in order to advance through the third chapter of her story in Alan Wake 2.

Maintenance logs and procedures can be found near the entrance to the gift shop. These logs and procedures contain valuable clues that players can use to solve the mystery. By placing these clues on the Case Board, Saga will be able to deduce an alternate way to enter the shop, as there are no employees available to provide a key.

The maintenance procedures serve as a reminder to Saga that with enough effort, a screwdriver can unlock any lock. The maintenance logs provide information to players that the Percolator, a spinning cups ride situated on the East side of the park, underwent maintenance work where a screwdriver was last employed. To reach the Percolator, players should continue their journey deeper into the park while following the signs.

Players should not run into any cultists while traveling to the Percolator - be sure to search any boxes available on the way to the Percolator and in the Fair Trade Fun Zone.

Finding the Screwdriver in Alan Wake 2

Players will be greeted with a mysteriously opening gate as they approach the entrance of the Percolator ride, enticing them to hop on board. Once aboard, the gate will securely lock and the ride will burst into action. Two cultists will materialize, one stationed in the ride's crow's nest and the other standing alongside Saga on the main platform.

Players on Normal difficulty can easily eliminate the cultist in the crow's nest by landing a swift headshot with their crossbow. Having the crossbow upgrade that allows for two arrows to be fired without reloading can greatly aid in this task. Once the axe-throwing cultist is defeated, swiftly dispatch the remaining cultist by utilizing a charged flashlight attack to uncover the Source point and unleash a barrage of firepower with any weapon.

Executing this battle incorrectly can prove challenging, but players who swiftly identify their targets upon entering the fight will hold the advantage and emerge unharmed. Once the skirmish concludes, players will discover the screwdriver resting atop a power box positioned to the left.

It is advisable for players to return to the gift shop where they should exercise caution due to the presence of numerous cultists who have taken over the amusement park. Upon reaching the gift shop,approach the locked door, interact with the lock, and utilize the screwdriver to force the door open. This will bring players one step closer to obtaining the trailer key.
