Ahsoka has finally resolved a lasting issue in Star Wars after almost two decades - a continuity error. The costumes featured in Ahsoka were expertly crafted, giving added depth to each character's storyline. This can also be said for every character in the Star Wars universe, as the designs have always been a prominent aspect of production since the franchise began. The cloaks worn by the Jedi and Sith contribute to their mystical appearance, instantly recognizable and serving a practical purpose.

However, there is one drawback to these cloaks - they are prone to getting lost. In the early Star Wars films, only a few characters wore cloaks, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, the Emperor, and temporarily Luke Skywalker. In the past, Jedi could easily return to the Coruscant Temple and replace any lost items, but Force users in the New Republic Era do not have that luxury. Ahsoka went above and beyond to ensure that everyone's belongings were accounted for, leaving no room for permanently missing property.

Ahsoka Keeps Track Of Everyone's Cloaks

In Ahsoka, Star Wars finally pays attention to the cloaks worn by every character. Although seemingly insignificant, Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati's robes play a significant role in their identities. Notably, Baylan refuses to part with his cloak until he engages Ahsoka in a lightsaber duel on Seatos. Prior to their battles, both Baylan and Shin remove their cloaks in the same fashion as countless warriors before them. With utmost care, Baylan delicately wraps his cloak and sets it aside, while Ahsoka casually folds and discards her gray cloak, displaying less concern than her adversary.

Following episodes ensure that Baylan and Shin don't have their cloaks, resulting in the warriors making the trip to Peridea with their exposed armor. In previous Star Wars entries, the solution would have been to simply replace the robes with new ones. However, the dark Jedi didn't have the time to acquire their belongings before leaving Seatos. Ahsoka, on the other hand, is an exception as she had a costume change after her battle with Baylan and had the necessary wardrobe aboard her T-6 Jedi shuttle, allowing her to become Ahsoka the White.

Star Wars Has A History Of Robes Magically Reappearing

Star Wars has been known for its frequent instances of Jedi losing and magically obtaining new cloaks. Among these incidents, Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith stands out as a particularly glaring offender. In this film, Obi-Wan Kenobi inexplicably acquires a new cloak not once, but twice. Yoda also experiences a similar occurrence, gaining a new robe shortly after his battle with Emperor Palpatine, thanks to Bail Organa's convenient supply. This trend continues in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, when Kylo Ren's cowl appears and disappears at will. Most bafflingly, Ren's helmet is left behind at Starkiller Base, only to magically reappear in the next film. Ahsoka, on the other hand, avoids such trivial errors and distinguishes itself as a truly exceptional show by paying meticulous attention to small details.
