Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Adrienne Maloof shared a scary experience involving one of her sons nearly being kidnapped when he was a baby. The Bravo star, 62, recounted the incident during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live on Tuesday, June 4. She revealed that the frightening event took place almost two decades ago while she was out shopping.

Maloof shared a frightening experience where a lady tried to take her son away. She was with her nanny and security was nearby. The lady took her crying son out of the nanny's hands and headed towards the elevator. Luckily, security intervened just in time.

Maloof has three children with her ex-husband, Dr. Paul Nassif: Gavin, 20, and twins Colin and Christian, 18. She did not mention which son was almost kidnapped, but it appears to be her eldest based on the timeline of events.

Maloof admitted that it was a bit scary, but she emphasized how quickly things can happen, sometimes within just seconds.

Fortunately, her security team acted swiftly and managed to apprehend the woman as she was trying to make a run for the escalator.

Maloof is thankful for the security team and how fast they acted in response to the situation. She expressed her relief, thinking about what could have happened if they were not there to help.

Her three sons are now grown up and doing well. Maloof and Nassif, who is 61 years old, recently celebrated their twins' high school graduation. In August 2022, the proud father shared moments of dropping Gavin off at the University of Utah for college.

Maloof and Nassif were married from 2002 to 2013. During this time, fans got to know the couple when Maloof appeared on RHOBH for the first three seasons. However, Nassif later admitted that the reality show had a negative impact on their struggling marriage.

In 2014, Nassif and Dr. Terry Dubrow became the stars of Botched, a show that follows their plastic surgery practice. When asked in July 2023 if he would consider doing another reality show with his current wife, Brittany Nassif, Paul Nassif expressed hesitancy. He mentioned to E! News that he wouldn't want to go through a similar experience again, especially considering the effect it had on his previous marriage with Adrienne. Paul believed that being on a reality show accelerated the downfall of his relationship with Adrienne, although he acknowledged that their divorce was inevitable.

Despite ending their romantic relationship, Maloof and Paul continued to co-parent in a friendly manner. The plastic surgeon mentioned that he communicated with his ex-wife regularly, about five to six times a week, for the well-being of their children.

Adrienne Maloof's terrifying experience highlights the importance of vigilance in public places. The swift response of her security team averted a potential tragedy and serves as a reminder to always be aware of one's surroundings. Maloof's story also underscores the need for parents to educate their children about stranger danger and empower them to seek help when necessary.

The incident also raises concerns about the potential dangers women may face while out in public, especially those who are pregnant or have young children. While it's important not to let fear paralyze us, it's crucial for individuals to take appropriate measures to protect themselves, such as traveling in groups, staying in well-lit areas, and reporting suspicious behavior to authorities.
