In her latest movie, Sydney Sweeney plays a nun named Sister Cecilia who goes through an immaculate pregnancy. Despite still being a virgin, her character becomes pregnant. As a result, Sweeney had to wear a fake belly for most of the movie. At 26 years old, Sweeney found herself constantly craving certain foods while portraying the nun on screen.

However, she had a stealthy way of making the most of it.

“I hid snacks in my pregnant belly,” Sweeney revealed Wednesday, March 20 on The View. “I would put Sour Patch Kids or M&Ms.”

The movie, which Sweeney co-produced, had a bit of a miraculous beginning.

“I auditioned for this movie 10 years ago,” Sweeney shared. “But they never ended up making it. I couldn't get it out of my head. I kept dreaming about how I would bring it to life someday.”

Sweeney was involved in updating the story by increasing her character's age by ten years. She enjoyed this creative process.

"I enjoy challenging myself," Sweeney expressed. "I believe it's crucial to keep pushing yourself, learning new things, and staying excited."

Immaculate was a particularly thrilling experience for Sweeney because she was able to bring both of her grandmothers to Italy to be extras in the movie. However, the Anyone But You star admitted that she wasn't completely honest about everything.

"I felt a little guilty because I didn't reveal the full details of the movie to them," Sweeney shared. "My grandmother, who was brought up Catholic and attended a school with nuns, even gave her character a whole name."

So, when her grandmothers went to see the movie for the first time, Sweeney teased them that they were in for a surprise when they saw themselves on the big screen.

"When she saw it, she was sitting next to me and she leaned over and said, 'Oh my God, Sydney,'" she remembered. "I felt bad and said, 'Oh no, Granny, I'm sorry!'"

Sweeney was thrilled by the experience of filming the movie, particularly because Euphoria fans were watching her portrayal of Cassie Howard. Many fans even reached out to Sweeney, expressing their desire to see her in a horror film.

As season 2 of Euphoria aired and Sweeney saw the memes circulating online, she couldn't contain her excitement. She already had the script for the movie and was eager for fans to see her in a new light.

Immaculate hits theaters Friday, March 22.
