A Game-Changing Revelation: Ahsoka's Shocking Encounter with Marrok, Revealing His True Fate

Ahsoka's relentless pursuit of justice spans across the Dark Times, leaving a trail of defeated Inquisitors in her wake Discover the untold tales of her triumphs and the enigmatic Inquisitors she has vanquished

Warning! This article contains spoilers for Ahsoka episode 4.

Summary

Ahsoka has successfully vanquished numerous Inquisitors, including two of smoke-like nature, much like the recently unveiled Inquisitor Marrok.

During the era of the Empire, as demonstrated in Star Wars Rebels, Ahsoka has confronted Inquisitors on multiple occasions, emerging victorious against the Seventh Sister, Fifth Brother, and Eighth Brother.

The Inquisitor featured in Tales of the Jedi, although made of smoke like Marrok, has a different origin. In Ahsoka episode 4, the Jedi defeated Marrok, who transformed into green smoke derived from the Nightsisters. This marked the second time Ahsoka had overcome a smoke-based agent of the Empire. With the announcement of an Inquisitor's involvement in Ahsoka, speculation arose regarding the person behind the mask, particularly considering the Empire's downfall in Return of the Jedi. Ahsoka episode 4, however, unveiled the truth about Marrok's true identity upon his demise.

After a brief duel, Marrok meets his fate at the hands of Ahsoka, releasing a swirling green mist from the wound. This mysterious phenomenon serves as an Ahsoka episode 4 Easter egg, referencing Morgan Elsbeth's ancestral connection to the Nightsisters. Notably, Marrok is not the inaugural Inquisitor that Ahsoka has encountered since parting ways with the Jedi Order. Moreover, intriguingly, Marrok is not the first Inquisitor composed of a smoky substance.

Ahsoka Has Been Killing Inquisitors Since The Dark Times Began

A Game-Changing Revelation: Ahsoka's Shocking Encounter with Marrok, Revealing His True Fate

During Ahsoka's active presence in the galaxy, spanning from Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith to Star Wars Rebels, she encountered several Inquisitors. Star Wars Rebels depicted several confrontations between Ahsoka and the Empire's Jedi hunters, highlighting her encounters throughout the series. In one notable instance from season 2, Ahsoka remarkably emerged victorious against both the Seventh Sister and Fifth Brother, displaying her formidable skills.

Later in the finale of Star Wars Rebels' second season, Ahsoka engaged in a duel with two adversaries once again, all while confronting the Eighth Brother. Hence, Ahsoka's encounter with Inquisitors is not a novel experience, irrespective of whether Marrok can be categorized as one due to his origin. What adds further intrigue is that one of the Inquisitors whom Ahsoka confronted during the Dark Times bore resemblance to Marrok in that he appeared to be a smoke-like entity.

Tales Of The Jedi's Inquisitor Explained

A Game-Changing Revelation: Ahsoka's Shocking Encounter with Marrok, Revealing His True Fate

The Inquisitor featured in this account received particular attention in the series known as Tales of the Jedi. Tales of the Jedi consisted of a compilation of six captivating animated shorts highlighting the adventures of Ahsoka and Count Dooku. In Episode 6 of Tales of the Jedi, titled "Resolve," Ahsoka finds herself toiling on a remote planet's farm until a resident exposes her whereabouts. Consequently, an unidentified Inquisitor embarks on the pursuit of Ahsoka.

After a brief confrontation, Ahsoka seizes the Inquisitor's lightsaber and severs his head. In the following scene, the Inquisitor's decapitated head lies on the ground while his mask loses its shape in a puff of smoke. The Inquisitor from Tales of the Jedi has largely remained a mysterious figure, with a connection to Marrok still present. Although not a creation of the Nightsisters, the fact that the Inquisitor from Tales of the Jedi also had a smokey appearance creates an intriguing link to Ahsoka, especially after the true identity of Marrok was revealed.
