50 Cent is taking legal action against his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy for making false accusations of rape and abuse. The rapper, who is 48 years old, is fighting back after Joy, 37, publicly accused him of these serious offenses. Their relationship lasted from 2011 to 2013 and now they are in the midst of a custody battle for their 12-year-old son, Sire. According to court documents obtained on May 7, 50 Cent is suing Joy for defamation.

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, accused Joy, whose full name is Daphne Joy Narvaez, of intentionally trying to damage his personal and professional reputation. He also claimed that Joy's actions were aimed at harming his business interests, affecting his custody case, and preventing him from seeing his son. We have contacted representatives for both 50 Cent and Joy for their comments.

Joy made these accusations in a post on Instagram in March. In response, 50 Cent refuted the claims as being false and without merit in a statement given to Us.

In court documents filed on Monday, May 6, the musician stated that he has faced significant public ridicule, hatred, and contempt due to Joy's public accusations.

50 Cent is aiming to defend his rights and safeguard his reputation against what he sees as a deliberate attack by Joy. Additionally, the rapper is pursuing punitive and exemplary damages for the significant harm he has suffered as a result of Joy's untrue and damaging remarks.

Joy and 50 Cent welcomed their son Sire in 2012 and continued to co-parent him after their split in 2013. Court documents recently revealed that Joy was referred to as a "sex worker" in a case involving Sean "Diddy" Combs. It was also stated that 50 Cent was unaware of the full extent of her relationship with the fellow musician, who is currently facing sexual assault allegations that he denies.

Upon learning about the allegations regarding Joy's involvement with Diddy, 50 Cent decided to take legal action to protect his son and filed for sole custody. When this news became public, Joy took to Instagram to share her abuse allegations.

The court documents state that the Defamatory Post includes untrue and harmful statements about Jackson, aiming to stir up negative feelings towards him in the public eye. They mention that the post was created with the intention of influencing the custody case.

According to the documents, 50 Cent has suffered personal and professional harm as a result of Joy's accusations.

“Jackson has suffered, and will continue to suffer, substantial damages, to which he is entitled to recover in an amount to be determined at trial,” the docs read.
