Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel Celebrates 25th Anniversary with the Legendary Egyptian God Cards

Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel celebrates its 25th anniversary with exclusive login rewards and an incredible assortment of Egyptian God cards, delivering an exhilarating gaming experience for fans!

Konami has marked Yu-Gi-Oh's 25th anniversary with the release of new sets, a special quarter-century foiling, and collections featuring the iconic Egyptian God cards in the trading card game. This week, the 25th-anniversary celebration extends to Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel.

Since its launch in early last year, Master Duel has proven to be a lucrative venture for Konami. Despite being a free-to-play live-service game with generous in-game currency, allowing players to build top-tier decks without spending real money, Master Duel maintains a strong player base and continues to generate significant profits each month.

Players who log in to Master Duel between November 29, 2023 and January 10, 2024 will have the opportunity to receive a variety of rewards, including in-game currency and exclusive alternative art for the legendary Egyptian God cards. To obtain all the rewards, players must log in on seven separate days before January 10th. Here is the breakdown of the log-in rewards:

Day One: Obelisk the Tormentor Alternative Art in Royal Finish

Day Two: 500 Gems

Day Three: One Secret Pack Ticket for “The Ones Who Serve Ra”

Day Four: 300 Gems

Day Five: Obelisk the Tormentor Alternative Art Profile Icon

Day Six: One Secret Pack Ticket for “The Ones Who Serve Ra”

Day Seven: 200 Gems

Duelists have expressed concerns about the lack of special animations for the Egyptian God cards in Master Duel, but that's about to change. This week, all three Egyptian God cards - Slifer the Sky Dragon, Obelisk the Tormentor, and The Winged Dragon of Ra - will finally have their summon animations added. Additionally, the alternative art of each Egyptian God card will also have its own summon animations.

Until January 10, players can also grab the Slifer the Sky Dragon Bundle for 2,500 Gems to receive 25 Master Packs, a Slifer the Sky Dragon Profile Icon, a special duel field, card sleeves, and an Alternative Slifer the Sky Dragon card in Royal Finish.

And for the opportunity to obtain the Alternative art of the final Egyptian God card, The Winged Dragon of Ra, players can try their luck with The Ones Who Serve Ra card pack from now until January 10.

Will you be able to acquire (the power of) all three Egyptian God cards before January 10? We'll see.

Editor's P/S

As an enthusiastic fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise, I am thrilled to see the 25th anniversary of the game being celebrated in such a grand manner. The Egyptian God cards have always been some of the most iconic and powerful cards in the game, and I am excited to see them finally getting the attention they deserve in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel.

The fact that Konami is giving away alternative art versions of these cards as login rewards is a great way to show appreciation to the fans, and I am sure that many players will be eager to get their hands on them. The addition of special summon animations for the Egyptian God cards is also a welcome improvement, as it will make them feel even more special and powerful when they are summoned in a Duel.

Overall, I think that Konami is doing a great job of celebrating the 25th anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh, and I am excited to see what else they have in store for fans in the future.
