Now available on mobile devices, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel was originally released on other platforms. Fortunately, the game offers a Cross-save feature, allowing players to transfer their progress across multiple platforms. This means that duelists can continue playing with their existing decks, eliminating the need to start from scratch to earn Gems.
For those who are unsure about how to use the Cross-save feature, here is a step-by-step guide on linking your Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel account across different platforms.
Updated on July 25th, 2023 by Hodey Johns: Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duelis still a popular title even after some time out and, like many titles with large fanbases, there are still gamers who desire the convenience of playing the title on their preferred devices. This article provides the solution to that query but presents the process in a single body of text. The process has now been divided into two steps: uploading the data on the main platform and retrieving that data on the other platform. The directions are now listed as bullet points at the beginning of each section, making it easier for gamers to locate the information they need without searching through paragraphs. Readers who wish to delve deeper into the process can still do so by choosing to read the additional details.
Upload The Data On The Primary Platform
Open Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on the primary platform.
Press on the Submenu (top-right of the main menu).
Scroll down and press Data Transfer. It will open a page to Transfer data "to" other game consoles.
Save the data on a Konami ID.
Please perform this procedure only on the primary platform. Attempting to do so on the secondary platform will result in the overwritten progress made on the primary platform.
For players who have previously built their best warrior deck and wish to avoid starting from scratch, they must connect their accounts using Konami ID. Once connected, they should log in on the other platform to complete the account linking process. To link the account, launch Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on the primary platform. Then, access the Submenu located in the top-right corner of the main menu. Scroll down to locate and select Data Transfer. This will redirect to a page where data can be transferred to other game consoles.
Load The Data On A Secondary Platform
To proceed to the transfer page, players have the option to select Data Link through Konami ID. This action will redirect them to the Konami website, where they can either utilize their existing Konami ID or establish a new one, and subsequently log into their account. This feature proves to be advantageous as it allows players to retain all their progress, which can come in handy when a new game mode becomes available.
Before entering the game, when it asks players to press anything to advance to the main menu, press the Setting Menu (bottom-right corner).
Choose Data Transfer. It will open a page to Transfer game data "from" another device.
Press on Data Link via Konami ID. Load the previously saved data.
Completing this process will remove any progress made on the secondary platform and replace it with the progress on the primary platform. It is important to note that gamers who wish to have two distinct games should refrain from proceeding with this procedure.
After linking their previous data to a Konami ID, duelists can now access Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on their additional platform. When prompted to proceed to the main menu, players can select the Setting Menu, represented by a button with three dashes (hamburger menu), situated in the bottom-right corner. From there, they can choose Data Transfer, which will direct them to a page for transferring game data from another device.
Upon reaching the 'from' Transfer data page, players should select Data Link via Konami ID. This will redirect them to the Konami website, where they can enter the same email and password associated with their primary account. By doing so, all progress on the secondary platform will be replaced with the data from the primary account, including any powerful hero cards. These hero cards can now be utilized on both the primary and secondary platforms.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is available now for Nintendo Switch, Mobile, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
