Kory Keefer, a Bravo star from Winter House, expressed his shock and surprise over the split between Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard. At BravoCon in Las Vegas, Keefer, 33, confessed that while some may have anticipated the breakup, he personally had no inkling of it happening.
Keefer mentioned that he, along with his girlfriend Samantha Feher, used to go on double dates with Radke and Hubbard. Keefer and Feher, who got to know each other while filming season 7 of Summer House, officially became a couple in April.
"We actually spent time together in the Hamptons during the summer," Keefer elaborated. "We attended concerts together and everything seemed alright. However, it seems like appearances can be deceiving, and we didn't realize the full extent of the issues they were facing."
Keefer acknowledged that the breakup is causing him some discomfort since he is friends with both Radke and Hubbard. Consequently, he finds himself unsure of the stance to adopt. He mentioned that he has reached out to both of them via text to offer support and see how they are doing.
"It's a challenging period," Keefer expressed. "Breakups are never easy. Throughout history, there has never been a breakup that can be described as truly remarkable. So, it's a negative experience that will continue until reaching rock bottom, after which things will start looking up. It's just one of those situations."
Although he has been fortunate enough to avoid being caught in a situation where he feels compelled to choose sides, he acknowledged that the upcoming weekend at BravoCon could present a unique scenario. In a light-hearted manner, he quipped about taking a shot before making a decision, expressing uncertainty about the outcome.
Radke ended his engagement to Hubbard in August, three months prior to when the Summer House stars were supposed to get married in Mexico. Candidly addressing the split in a clip from the most recent episode of the “Salty With Captain Lee” podcast, exclusively obtained by Us, Radke expressed remorse for the way the engagement came to an end.
Radke shared that the experience has been frightening, bewildering, and emotionally challenging. He expressed regret for how everything unfolded and expressed a desire to make things easier or better if given the chance. Hubbard, on the other hand, revealed that she was completely caught off guard by Radke's decision.
"It was an utterly humiliating experience. It wouldn't have been as bad if this conversation had taken place during the regular filming period over the summer," she divulged, delving into the details of the breakup for the first time. "However, for [Carl] to contact the producers, arrange for cameras to be set up, and cunningly convince me to sit down [just to break up with me] after we had already finished filming is truly terrifying. The entire world became aware of it within just half an hour."
