Diablo 4's Hardcore Victory challenge has just been unveiled by Blizzard, offering a tantalizing reward for players who emerge victorious. To ensure they're well-prepared for the challenge, gamers can now preload the game and get ready to dive straight into the action. With excitement for Diablo 4 intensifying in the run-up to its release, the recent beta has already convinced many players of the game's quality. After initial concerns about the presence of microtransactions, it's become clear that they won't have a major impact on the gameplay experience. As a result, gamers are eagerly anticipating the chance to explore everything Diablo 4 has to offer.
The rules of the challenge are straightforward: the first 1,000 players to attain level 100 in Diablo 4's hardcore mode and earn the title of "Tempered Champion" will have their username immortalized into a statue of Lilith, the game's antagonist. However, Blizzard will not automatically track this achievement, so players must provide proof with a screenshot on Twitter, along with their BattleNet ID and the hashtag #Diablo4Hardcore. The challenge must be completed solely by the player, as any attempt completed with the aid of a script, macro, or any other automated means will be disqualified.
Players who submit their contest entry and are among the first 1,000 to reach level 100 in hardcore mode will receive direct confirmation of their win from Blizzard. The contest is only open from June 1 to June 4, so only those with early access to Diablo 4 from the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions can participate. While the challenge is short, lasting only three days, it's not impossible for dedicated Diablo players to overcome.
Blizzard has been increasing its marketing efforts for the game, and this contest is just one of the many fun gimmicks to get players excited about Diablo 4. A few months ago, Diablo 4 made an appearance at Milan Fashion Week, showcasing a variety of unique outfits inspired by the game. With high expectations for the game's release, it'll be interesting to see what else the studio has in store for fans.
Diablo 4 launches on June 6 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
