Will Ferrell's Epic Turn as DJ at Son Magnus’ USC Frat Bash Leaves Partygoers in Stitches

Will Ferrell brought a lively atmosphere to the University of Southern California when he visited his son, Magnus Ferrell. During Magnus' fraternity party at Sigma Alpha Mu, the 56-year-old actor took on the role of a DJ and energized the crowd. On October 7, during the university's family weekend, a video capturing Will wearing headphones and playing Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" at the DJ booth went viral on social media. In addition, he enthusiastically interacted with the soundboard's controls, clapping his hands above his head. Adding to the excitement, he used a fog cannon to create a smokey effect that engulfed the crowd.

Prior to USC's overtime victory against the Arizona Wildcats, students enthusiastically celebrated alongside Will. He was sporting a USC-logo zip-up hoodie and a backward hat, setting the mood with his energetic singing, synchronized clapping, and lively dance moves. As an alumnus of USC from the class of 1990, the Saturday Night Live veteran received admiration from fans in the comments of the TikTok video. One user described him as the "ultimate cool dad," while another exclaimed, "Truly remarkable!"

Will, who has three sons, Mattias and Axel, in addition to Magnus, his wife Viveca Paulin, has consistently provided unconventional support to his eldest child over the years.

During the Cancer for College benefit in December 2022, Magnus made his debut performance with his band. Towards the conclusion of their set, Will, who is connected to the organization through his fraternity brother at USC, joined Magnus on stage and played the iconic Saturday Night Live cowbell.

Will has consistently been open about his journey as a father over the years. In a candid interview with Australia’s News.com in December 2015, he discussed his ability to empathize with the underlying message of his comedy film Daddy's Home, which focuses on the importance of family.

When asked about his own experience as a parent, he acknowledged the universal truth that all parents navigate the challenges of raising children without a road map. Despite this uncertainty, Will expressed optimism and emphasized the significance of love within a family unit. He firmly believed that as long as there is an abundance of love, any obstacles along the way can be overcome. This perspective deeply resonated with his own experiences as a father.

He expressed his excitement about being a father, sharing that once the interview concluded, he would be joining his wife at a field to assist in coaching their 8-year-old's soccer team. He stated that he enjoys engaging in these activities as he had a strong interest in sports during his own childhood.

The Ferrell family recently made a stylish appearance at the Barbie premiere in London in July. Will and his three sons were dressed impeccably in suits, while Paulin, 54, looked elegant in a timeless blue gown.
