Whoopi Goldberg is not impressed with the recent remarks Rachel Bilson made about the sexual pasts of potential romantic partners.
During the October 5 episode of The View, Goldberg, 67, criticized Bilson, 42, for expressing discomfort with a man in his 40s having a limited number of sexual partners. Goldberg questioned Bilson's concern and asked why it mattered to her.
She continued, "Listen, historically, men were taught to pursue multiple sexual partners while women were expected not to. However, things have changed and now young women are speaking up and questioning why they should be limited. The roles have reversed, and now you're upset. I don't comprehend it."
Goldberg then offered some advice for women who are worried about their partners' sexual experiences, saying, "If he's content with you and you're enjoying yourselves, why are you complaining?"
Bilson admitted that it was unfair for her to pass judgment on someone based on their sexual partners, after making the initial remark. She mentioned the possibility of the person being in long-lasting relationships, which she deemed respectable. She emphasized that it was not her place to make such judgments, as everyone is entitled to their individual experiences. We have contacted Bilson for further clarification regarding Goldberg's comments.
Bilson has previously been open about her sexual preferences. In a recent episode of the "Women on Top" podcast, the actress revealed that she enjoys the missionary position as it allows her to experience being manhandled. However, she also mentioned that she tends to avoid doggy-style due to the potential for discomfort and potential pain caused by deep penetration.
The actress caused a stir earlier when she disclosed to guest Whitney Cummings on an episode of "Broad Ideas" in March that she didn't experience orgasms during sex until she was 38.
Bilson, who has had relationships with Bill Hader, Hayden Christensen, and Adam Brody in the past, later clarified in the same month that she did not intend to specifically target any of her exes with her explicit revelation.
She mentioned during an interview on Nick Viall's podcast, "The Viall Files," that names were mentioned in both cases, which she is not comfortable with because it is unrelated. Bilson made it clear that the absence of orgasms during her younger years had no connection to any of her partners. Instead, it was simply because she hadn't yet discovered her own body. "It was a personal journey that solely involved myself," she clarified.
