If everyone is in the same star system, do I need to return there whenever I need to trade? No, thankfully, that's not the case. The best way to interact with Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader factions is by speaking with High Factotum Janris Danrok, an NPC in your voidship. He's also the same individual who allows you to respec your characters.

When conversing with Danrok, choose: "I would like to order the shipping and transportation of some goods." This will open a panel that enables you to select a specific faction.

With Janris Danrok, you can conveniently interact with faction vendors from your voidship without the need to return to Footfall each time.

How to increase faction reputation and Profit Factor

In Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, both faction reputation and Profit Factor can be increased through specific events or dialogue options, although these opportunities are limited. However, there are two more reliable methods for achieving these goals.

Giving cargo to faction vendors

You can exchange all the cargo crates you've collected from looting containers with faction vendors. Just click on the reputation tab when speaking with vendors to view the list of items they are interested in. For example, the Drusians offer more RP for Holy Gifts, while the Imperial Navy only accepts "trophies" or dropped cargo from space battles.

Once a cargo type reaches 100%, you can trade it in, as long as the faction wants that type of goods. Additionally, you can "junk" equipment such as weapons, armor, and accessories that you no longer need. Simply right-click on the item and select "Add to Cargo." A new "crate" for that category/type will be created, and it needs to reach 100% before you can exchange them for RP.

When managing colonies, you have the option to choose specific types of cargo or use the Show Tradable button. After making your selection, simply click on the Trade button to claim the RP amount displayed on the panel.

Colony projects

In the colonies under your management, certain projects may offer additional Profit Factor or RP boosts for a specific faction. It's important to note that many projects can only be accessed once you have fulfilled specific requirements, such as resources, colony stats, or a minimum amount of RP.
