WandaVision has recently unveiled a couple of deleted scenes in its collector's edition Blu-ray, leaving many fans feeling puzzled. It's undeniable that WandaVision, a limited series, has been one of the most beloved Marvel TV shows in recent years.
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision depicts Wanda Maximoff coping with the loss of Vision at the hands of Thanos, navigating through her own personal stages of grief.
Despite airing in 2021, the show continues to maintain a dedicated fanbase, yet many fans were left perplexed by a recently discovered deleted scene.
WandaVision deleted scene answers a question two years later
IGN debuted a new WandaVision deleted scene, titled Ankle Bracelet, that showcased the backstory behind Evan Peters’ character in the show.
Peters, controversially, was cast as Wanda's brother Pietro, who was murdered in Avengers: Age of Ultron, although he was played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the film. WandaVision fans were disappointed with the recasting, hoping for Taylor-Johnson to return, but in the finale, it was revealed that Peters' character was under the control of Agatha Harkness and was not actually Wanda's brother.
The new deleted scene offers fans further insight into Peters' character, revealing that he was actually the Witness Protection member Jimmy Woo was searching for in Westview. While this provides an interesting glimpse into Peters' role in the Disney+ series, many fans were puzzled by the decision to release this footage nearly three years after the show concluded.
Many fans speculated about Peters' true identity in WandaVision, wondering if he was portraying his version of Quicksilver from the X-Men films or if he was simply a lighthearted cameo with no significance to the plot. Although these questions were resolved nearly three years ago, WandaVision viewers can now find closure.

Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z netizen, I have mixed feelings about the unearthed deleted sequence from WandaVision. On one hand, I am excited to finally have some answers to lingering questions about Evan Peters' character. On the other hand, I am puzzled by the decision to release this footage nearly three years after the show concluded.
I think the deleted scene provides some interesting insight into Peters' character and his role in the show. It also helps to explain why fans were so disappointed with the recasting of Pietro Maximoff. However, I am not sure if the scene is enough to justify the wait. I think it would have been more satisfying if the scene had been included in the original show.
Overall, I am glad that the deleted scene has been released, but I am still puzzled by the timing of its release. I think it would have been more impactful if it had been released closer to the show's original air date.
