Tom Cruise inadvertently got caught in the middle of a $10 million feud between David Beckham and Mark Wahlberg after attending Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday party. The Mission Impossible star, 61, made a grand entrance at the star-studded event in London, where he entertained guests by doing the splits on the dance floor. Among the cheering crowd were celebrities like Eva Longoria and the Spice Girls, who had reunited for the occasion. Tom Cruise seemed unaware of the online controversy that was brewing as he enjoyed the festivities.
Beckham's DB Ventures company has filed a lawsuit against F45 Training, a company that his former friend Wahlberg has partial ownership in. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the 48-year-old soccer star claims that F45 misled him into signing an endorsement deal, promising him $10 million which he never received.
He claimed he was told he would receive stocks as compensation, but they were never given to him when the share prices dropped.
Now, as he continues to deal with the Boogie Nights actor, an old controversial video has reemerged, intensifying the conflict.

Beckham's friend Cruise showed up at the fancy party, not realizing it would bring back his past disagreement with Wahlberg and spark rumors of him supporting Beckham in this new conflict.
In a video from 2013 that went viral, Wahlberg seemed to criticize Cruise for comparing acting to being in the military.
He was once asked if filming a movie is similar to being a soldier in Afghanistan. He responded, "That's what it feels like and certainly on this last movie, it was brutal."
Wahlberg strongly disagreed with the idea of any actor likening their work to being on the front line.
A video obtained by TMZ showed the star speaking at a Q&A in Los Angeles ahead of a screening of his film Lone Survivor, in which he plays a Navy SEAL.

“For actors to sit there and talk about, ‘Oh, I went to SEAL training’– I don’t give a f–k about what you did,” he said.
You don’t do what these guys do. You just don’t. For somebody to claim that their job is as tough as being in the military is disrespectful, especially when they spend two hours in a makeup chair.
I don’t care if you’re working hard. At the end of the day, you get to go home. You get to relax in your hotel room and order whatever food you want, whether it’s chicken or steak.
Afterwards, he asked Q&A host not to ask him any more questions, while he calmed down before apologizing for “losing his s-t.”
However, Wahlberg later clarified that there was a misunderstanding. In an interview with TMZ, he mentioned, “I didn’t know it was Tom Cruise who made that comparison. Someone just told me about it. I admire Tom Cruise and have a lot of respect for him. But I also have the same amount of respect for military personnel, so it's unfair for anyone to make comments like that.”
The two have not met or collaborated on any projects since then. Adding to the situation, Wahlberg mentioned that he started producing movies because he was tired of waiting for roles that Cruise had turned down.
Fans are circulating a video of Tom Cruise's angry outburst from 2013, implying that his attendance at a recent party shows his support for his long-time friend, David Beckham, despite his busy schedule.
Mark Wahlberg's legal team has rejected the $10 million lawsuit filed by the ex-sportsman, labeling the allegations of "fraudulent conduct" as unfounded in a bid to have the case dismissed, as reported by The Sun.
Wahlberg's lawyers responded to the 209-page, 610-paragraph SAC [complaint] by stating that it tries to compensate for its lack of merit with its length.
F45 was launched in 2011 with Wahlberg as the chief brand officer, owning more than 30 percent of the company. In late 2022, Beckham, who became friends with Wahlberg when he and Victoria moved to LA in 2012, and former golfer Greg Norman filed separate lawsuits against F45 Training, after a judge ordered them to do so.

The article paints a complex picture of a brewing conflict between David Beckham and Mark Wahlberg, with Tom Cruise inadvertently caught in the crossfire. Beckham alleges that F45 Training misled him into an endorsement deal, while Wahlberg's legal team dismisses the allegations as unfounded. This legal battle has resurfaced an old controversy involving Wahlberg's criticism of Cruise's comparison of acting to military service, further fueling the animosity between the two celebrities.
It's intriguing to note that Cruise's attendance at Beckham's birthday party has sparked speculation about his support for Beckham in this dispute, despite his long-standing friendship with Wahlberg. The fact that Wahlberg turned to movie production due to frustration over roles allegedly turned down by Cruise adds another layer of complexity to the situation. As the legal battle unfolds, it remains to be seen how the involvement of these high-profile individuals will impact the outcome.
