After 25 years, Pierpaolo Piccioli is leaving Valentino. Valentino announced the news on Friday, March 22. They said that Piccioli, who is 56 years old, is no longer collaborating with the fashion house. Valentino's chairman, Rachid Mohamed Rachid, expressed gratitude to Piccioli for his significant contribution over the past 25 years. According to Reuters, Rachid mentioned that Piccioli has left a lasting impact on the history of Maison Valentino.
Piccioli shared his gratitude for the luxury brand, expressing that some stories do not have a clear beginning or end. He mentioned to Vogue, “Not all stories have a beginning or an end, some live a kind of eternal present that shines so bright that it won’t produce any shadows.”
He also reflected on his 25-year journey with the company, acknowledging the individuals who have contributed to the beautiful story they have collectively created. Piccioli thanked Mr. Valentino, Giancarlo Giammetti, and every person who played a part in making his experience possible. He considered it a privilege and an honor to have shared his dreams and journey with them.
