During Apple's annual WWDC events, they typically have a strong focus on software. However, this year marked the announcement of several new Mac models, as well as the highly-anticipated Apple Vision Pro headset. Now, customers can purchase the latest Mac models, including the 15-inch MacBook Air. The main keynote unveiled a total of three new Mac options: the 15-inch MacBook Air, the M2 Mac Studio, and the Apple Silicon-powered Mac Pro. While these were available for pre-order immediately following the keynote, they should now be available for purchase in-store for those who didn't pre-order.
The 15-inch MacBook Air is essentially a larger version of the M2 MacBook Air, featuring a 15-inch display instead of a 13-inch one. However, it maintains the same specifications, including the Apple M2 chip and storage/RAM configurations. On the other hand, the Mac Studio provides the option of either an M2 Max or the new M2 Ultra, while the Mac Pro, which has historically been Apple’s priciest computer, comes with an M2 Ultra and is the only computer in Apple’s product line that comes with PCI Express expansion cards.
The latest Mac models can now be purchased directly from Apple's website, and a few select physical Apple Store locations are offering local pickup options. It is anticipated that they will become available at other retail stores in the near future.
