Will there be a Season 3 of From? Here’s what we know about the upcoming season, including renewal updates, cast, and plot details.
In my unsettled dreams, I envision that town... not Silent Hill (although the series is heavily influenced by the video games), but the haunting, continuous setting of From, trapping anyone unfortunate enough to enter its streets.
The show was launched on Epix (later rebranded as MGM+) in 2022. Despite modest viewership, the reviews were extremely positive, leading to the quick approval of a second season. The show has gained a new audience on Prime Video, with Stephen King praising it as a "wonderful concept" that is "beautifully handled." Following the Season 2 finale, here's what we know about From Season 3 so far.
Will there be a From Season 3?
From Season 3 has officially been renewed according to a tweet from the series’ main star.
Harold Perrineau, who portrays Boyd Stevens, the self-appointed sheriff and de-facto mayor of the Township, has announced the upcoming new season of the show with the message: "Here we go #FROMily Season 3 comin at ya! @FROMonMGM #FROM"

Is there a From Season 3 release date?
There is currently no release date for Season 3 of From, but it is anticipated to debut in the summer of 2024. Despite not having official confirmation, if production moves forward as indicated in the latter part of the year, Season 3 should be ready by 2024. Both previous seasons were released in February 2022 and April 2023, and it is probable that the resolved writers' and actors' strikes may have caused some delay, making a premiere in the summer of 2024 the most likely scenario.
From Season 3 cast: Who’ll be in it?
We’d expect the following stars in the From Season 3 cast:
Harold Perrineau as Boyd Stevens
Catalina Sandino Moreno as Tabitha Matthews
Eion Bailey as Jim Matthews
David Alpay as Jade Herrera
Elizabeth Saunders as Donna Raines
Scott McCord as Victor
Ricky He as Kenny Liu
Chloe Van Landschoot as Kristi Miller
Pegah Ghafoori as Fatima Hassan
Corteon Moore as Ellis Stevens
Hannah Cheramy as Julie Matthews
Simon Webster as Ethan Matthews
Avery Konrad as Sara Myers
Perrineau is clearly game to return, as are other members of the cast. We’ll update this space upon any other announcements.
From Season 3 plot: What will it be about?
After that whopper of an ending, things are only going to get worse for the town’s residents in From Season 3.
Director Jack Bender discussed with Tell-Tale TV how every attempt to escape the situation ends with hitting a metaphorical wall, leading to a dramatic climax at the end of season two. He emphasized that the intensity continues to build, leading to a powerful and chaotic end to the season, setting the stage for an even darker season three. He compared the experience to sinking deeper into quicksand.
Bender also mentioned Stephen King, whose work influences the creative direction of From. "When I work with Stephen King, I love the fact that he's writing about the monsters inside of us, as well as the monsters outside of us. I think that's very true of our show. It will be scarier to satisfy all that stuff and more complicated and horrific for the characters," he said.
King has expressed his admiration for the show, posting about it on multiple occasions. "If you're a horror fan and not watching From, you should get with it. Scary sh*t," he tweeted.

Editor's P/S
As a passionate fan of the show "From," I am thrilled to hear the news of its renewal for a third season. The show's unique blend of horror, mystery, and psychological drama has kept me captivated since the very first episode. The haunting atmosphere of the town, the intriguing characters, and the ever-present sense of danger have made "From" a truly unforgettable viewing experience. I can't wait to see what the writers have in store for us in the upcoming season and how the story will unfold.
The show's creator, John Griffin, has done an incredible job of building a complex and multi-layered narrative that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the actors bring them to life with their exceptional performances. The cinematography and sound design are also top-notch, creating an immersive and unsettling atmosphere that perfectly complements the show's themes. I have no doubt that Season 3 will continue to deliver the same high-quality storytelling and scares that have made "From" such a success.
