Viewers continue to have a strong desire for additional content featuring the beloved characters of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, even more than 20 years after the original airing of Gilmore Girls in 2000. The show was rebooted in 2016 with a four-part update, but the longing for more stories from the charming town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut remains. Over the course of six seasons from 2000 to 2007, fans followed the lives of Lorelai and Rory, a mother-daughter duo, witnessing their experiences and growth. Despite the complexities of Lorelai's relationship with her parents, Emily and Richard Gilmore, these characters also played a significant role in shaping Rory's upbringing.

Even two decades after its premiere in 2000, followed by a revival in 2016, Gilmore Girls continues to captivate fans who crave additional adventures with Lorelai and Rory Gilmore.
From 2000 to 2007, viewers were captivated by the lives of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, a mother-daughter duo residing in the charming fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. Lorelai's intricate relationship with her parents, Emily and Richard Gilmore, also played a significant role in shaping Rory's upbringing.
Throughout the series, the Gilmore ladies found themselves entangled in romantic pursuits, being courted by Dean Forester, Jess Mariano, Logan Huntzberger, Luke Danes, and Rory's father, Christopher Hayden. Completing the ensemble were Rory's best friend, Lane Kim, her academic rival, Paris Geller, and Lorelai's loyal confidante and business partner, Sookie St. James, among others.

Lauren Graham
Following her role as the beloved "cool mom" Lorelai for seven seasons, Graham portrayed the character of another single mother, Sarah Braverman, on Parenthood from 2010 until 2015. In 2016, she returned to play Lorelai once again in the four-part Netflix revival. Since then, she has appeared in various shows such as Vampirina, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, and The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. Additionally, the Hawaii native has authored three books: Someday, Someday, Maybe, Talking as Fast as I Can, and In Conclusion, Don't Worry About It.
In 2010, the actress began dating her Parenthood co-star, Peter Krause, and the couple ended their relationship one year prior to June 2022, as confirmed by Us.

Alexis Bledel
After her debut as the goody-goody Rory Gilmore, Bledel went on to play various roles. She portrayed Lena in both Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants films, made an appearance on Mad Men in 2012, and starred in the short-lived series Us & Them. In the year 2016, she reprised her role as Rory for the Netflix reboot and also portrayed the character Emily Malek in The Handmaid’s Tale from 2017 to 2022.
In 2014, Bledel tied the knot with Vincent Kartheiser, whom she crossed paths with on Mad Men, and in the autumn of 2015, they joyously embraced the arrival of their very first child. Unfortunately, their marital union took a turn for the worse when Kartheiser initiated divorce proceedings in August 2022. Their separation became official later that same month.

Kelly Bishop
The Colorado native began her acting career long before portraying Lorelai's aristocratic mother, Emily, and Rory's grandmother on Gilmore Girls in 2000. She showcased her talent in notable productions such as Dirty Dancing in 1986 and Café Society in 1995, among others. Following her time on Gilmore Girls, Bishop secured recurring roles on Bunheads and The Good Wife. She then returned to reprise her role as Emily Gilmore in 2016 and further graced the screen in The Salzburg Story and Halston. In 2021, it was revealed that she would reunite with Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino on Amazon's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Bishop enjoyed a marriage to TV personality Lee Leonard from 1981 until his passing in 2018.

Edward Herrmann
Herrmann, who portrayed the only Gilmore man, Richard, always held a special place in his daughter's world despite being absent from her life for a long time. Alongside his role in Gilmore Girls, he appeared in various films including The Aviator, Factory Girl, and more. Furthermore, he starred in Oz from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, Herrmann had a recurring role on The Good Wife and appeared in Son of Morning and A Christmas Wish before his untimely passing in 2014. Notably, he was married twice and had three children.

Scott Patterson
After portraying the characters of flannel king and Luke's Diner owner for a remarkable span of seven years, Patterson ventured into new projects such as Aliens in America (2007-2008) and The Event (2010-2011). In a delightful reunion, he reunited with his former co-stars for the Gilmore Girls Netflix revival in 2016. Apart from his television appearances, this native of Pennsylvania has also made a mark in the film industry with notable roles in movies like Con Man, Yellow Fever, and Boys of Abu Ghraib. Displaying his versatility, Patterson additionally launched his Gilmore Girls retrospective podcast, titled "I Am All In," in the year 2021. In 2001, Patterson tied the knot for the second time, entering into a marital union with Kristine Sarayan. Their joy multiplied when they welcomed their son, Nicholas, into the world in 2014.

Melissa McCarthy
Playing Lorelai’s best friend for seven seasons kickstarted McCarthy’s career. After the show ended, the Illinois native went on to join the cast of Samantha Who? and Rita Rocks before landing roles in successful comedies like Bridesmaids, This Is 40, Identity Thief, and Tammy. From 2010 to 2016, McCarthy portrayed Molly Flynn in Mike & Molly, and in 2016 she returned for one of the installments of the Gilmore Girls revival. In 2017, she ventured into executive producing with Nobodies, which was followed by her involvement in Little Big Shots in 2020.
The actress from The Heat received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in 2019 for her portrayal of writer Lee Israel in the biographical film Can You Ever Forgive Me? She also stars in Hulu's Nine Perfect Strangers, which premiered in August 2021. McCarthy married Ben Falcone in 2005, and they have collaborated on several projects together. They have two daughters, Vivian and Georgette.

Keiko Agena
Having portrayed the iconic character Lane Kim, Rory's rebellious best friend who aspired to become a rockstar, Agena has built a successful career in television. She has appeared in popular shows such as 13 Reasons Why, The First, Better Call Saul, and Prodigal Son. Additionally, she reprised her role in all four episodes of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. In 2018, the talented actress from Hawaii penned No Mistakes: A Perfect Workbook for Imperfect Artists. Since 2005, she has been happily married to musician Shin Kawasaki.

Jared Padalecki
Padalecki rose to fame as Dean Forester, Rory's first love, in the beloved series. Despite his departure from the show in 2005, he remained a crowd favorite. Shortly after, the Texas native secured his most enduring television role to date, portraying Sam Winchester in the long-running series Supernatural from 2005 to 2020. Additionally, he showcased his acting prowess in House of Wax, Friday the 13th, and Supernatural: The Animation. Presently, Padalecki takes on the lead role of Cordell Walker in the recently premiered series Walker, which debuted in 2021. In 2010, the accomplished actor entered into matrimony with Genevieve Cortese, with whom he shares the joy of raising three beautiful children. However, in October 2019, Padalecki faced legal issues. While outside an Austin bar, he was arrested and subsequently charged with two misdemeanor counts of assault following reports of public intoxication.

Liza Weil
Since the end of Gilmore Girls in 2007, Weil has been quite busy. She had recurring roles on Scandal and Bunheads before landing the part of Bonnie Winterbottom in ABC's How to Get Away With Murder in 2014. Additionally, she made appearances on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and reprised her role as Paris Geller in two of the four episodes of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Weil, who attended Columbia University, was married to Paul Adelstein from 2006 to 2017, and they have a daughter named Josephine.

Matt Czuchry
Czuchry became a member of the Gilmore Girls cast in 2004, portraying Logan Huntzberger, Rory's boyfriend in college. Following the conclusion of the series, he continued his television career and made appearances on Friday Night Lights in 2008. From 2009 to 2016, he portrayed Cary Agos on The Good Wife. In 2016, he appeared in all four episodes of Netflix's Gilmore Girls miniseries. Since 2018, Czuchry has been portraying Conrad Hawkins on The Resident. Additionally, in 2012, the actor collaborated with his brother, Mike Czuchry, on the book Brothers on Life, which they co-wrote.

Milo Ventimiglia
Ventimiglia’s Jess Mariano first appeared in Stars Hollow in 2001 as Rory's second love interest, portraying the quintessential bad boy with a love for reading. Alongside his stint on the popular series, Ventimiglia also joined the cast of American Dreams. Subsequently, he ventured into The Bedford Diaries in 2006 before securing the pivotal role of Peter Petrelli on Heroes. In 2011, Ventimiglia lent his voice to Wolverine in the animated Wolverine series while simultaneously starring in Chosen and The Whispers. Notably, he captivated audiences as Jack Pearson on This Is Us, a role he held from 2016 until the poignant drama's conclusion in 2022. Additionally, he made an appearance in the Gilmore Girls revival.
In October 2023, it was revealed that Ventimiglia had quietly married Jarah Mariano earlier that year. The intimate ceremony took place in the presence of their loved ones.

Liz Torres
Torres portrayed Miss Patty, the dance studio owner, on the television series Gilmore Girls. In addition to her role on Gilmore Girls, Torres made appearances on First Monday and American Family in 2002. After the WB series concluded, she continued to make guest appearances on various shows such as Desperate Housewives, Scandal, and Devious Maids, among others. In 2016, Torres reprised her role as Miss Patty. She also had a guest appearance on One Day at a Time in 2019. Since 1975, Torres has been married to Peter Locke, and she is an Emmy-winning actress.

David Sutcliffe
Fans were introduced to Rory's father, Christopher Hayden, who was also Lorelai's high school sweetheart, during the middle of season 1. Christopher made several appearances throughout the series and eventually married Lorelai briefly in season 7. In 2007, actor Sutcliffe took on the recurring role of officer Kevin Nelson on Private Practice. He then went on to appear in numerous TV movies before his appearance on Cracked in 2013. After that, the Canadian actor starred in Proof and Mistresses before making a guest appearance in one episode of the Gilmore Girls revival. Sutcliffe's marriage to Julie McCullough ended after two years in 2003.

Yanic Truesdale
The concierge at the Independence Inn, Michel Gerard, was portrayed by a Canadian actor. He later joined Lorelai and Sookie in opening the Dragonfly Inn. After his time on the hit WB show, he made appearances on various other shows, such as The Fixer, and French-Canadian series Mauvais Karma and La théorie du K.O. In 2020, he played Stephen in The Wedding Planners show and Étienne in Les Mecs. In 2021, he reunited with former Dragonfly Inn colleague Melissa McCarthy to film the upcoming Netflix series, God’s Favorite Idiot.

Sean Gunn
Gunn's acting career took a new direction after portraying Stars Hollow's eccentric and lovable character for seven years. He transitioned to playing Vincent "Rooster" Russo on the short-lived series, October Road. Following the conclusion of that show, the talented actor from Missouri made appearances on Bunheads and Glee. In 2012, he took on the role of Jason in H+. Gunn's breakthrough came in 2014 when he landed the role of Kraglin/On-Set Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy, a character he reprised in its 2017 sequel. He also portrayed the same character in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Thor: Love and Thunder. In 2019, Gunn tied the knot with Natasha Halevi.

Michael Winters
Winters' most prominent acting role thus far has been as Taylor Doose, the self-proclaimed expert and selectman of the town who owned both the market and the soda shop, in the popular TV series Gilmore Girls. He made appearances in several episodes of Days of Our Lives, The Practice, and NYPD Blue before reprising his character of Taylor in three revival episodes. Additionally, in 2019, he took on a leading role in the film ECCO.
