Unveiling the Unseen: The Breathtaking Arsenal of Breath of the Wild That Will Leave You in Awe

Zelda enthusiasts honor the cherished weapons from Breath of the Wild that didn't make a comeback in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, showcasing their deep appreciation for these iconic elements of the game

Zelda aficionados are paying homage to a range of Breath of the Wild weapons that unfortunately did not make the cut in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In this latest installment, players can harness the Fuse ability to combine and fashion their own formidable weapons, some of which may bear a resemblance to coveted arms from Breath of the Wild.

Taking place immediately after the events of Breath of the Wild, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom showcases the aftermath of the cataclysmic Upheaval, which brought about significant changes within the expansive Kingdom of Hyrule. Hyrule Castle was lifted into the air, with numerous floating islands emerging high above. Upon awakening in the Great Sky Island with a deteriorated Master Sword, Link embarks on a quest to find Zelda beneath the land's surface. However, Rauru advises the Hylian hero to bolster his newly transplanted arm. Link obtains the Ultrahand, Ascend, Fuse, and Recall abilities from four initial shrines, which serve as an introduction to navigating and acquiring weapons in Hyrule.

A player named weallfal1down from Tears of the Kingdom has created a graphic showcasing weapons from Breath of the Wild that did not appear in the latest Zelda game. This Reddit post prompted fans of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to reminisce and pay homage to weapons like the Savage Lynel Crusher and Drillshaft. Despite the ability to combine weapons in Tears of the Kingdom, some fans expressed disappointment at the absence of unique weapons once used by Yiga Clan enemies in Breath of the Wild, such as the Demon Carver and Vicious Sickle.

Another beloved weapon among fans is Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Lizal Tri-Boomerang, which frequently drops from Lizalfos enemies throughout Hyrule. In Tears of the Kingdom, players have the option to fuse boomerang weapons with other materials to match the Lizal Tri-Boomerang's attack power or acquire special effects. However, the distinctive design of the Lizal Tri-Boomerang is noticeably absent in Tears of the Kingdom.

The Zelda community expressed disappointment due to the absence of returning weapons in Breath of the Wild. Longtime fans also have differing opinions regarding the visual appearance of fused weapons. While fused weapons may incorporate design elements of unique weapons from Zelda: Breath of the Wild, their attack damage and durability can vary greatly depending on the fusion. Consequently, some players would prefer to possess a durable weapon with an attractive design, such as the Moonlight Scimitar, rather than a fused Lizalfos sword.

It is possible that future DLC, such as the potential Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom DLC, could address the concerns raised by fans regarding the game's current selection of weapons. Although Nintendo has not made an official announcement regarding DLC, datamines suggest that it might be in development. Additionally, the final shrine in the game appears to foreshadow another potential adventure for Link in Hyrule.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
