Chelsea Vaughn and Austin Tinsley, who met on season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise Canada more than a year ago, are ready to exclusively share their love story with We.
"Chelsea was not only incredibly attractive, but she had a profound depth that is often overlooked," Austin expressed. Despite being eliminated on night 1 of Katie Thurston's season 17 of The Bachelorette, he spoke highly of Chelsea. "People often stereotype models as just having a pretty face, but Chelsea defies that assumption. She possesses a remarkable depth of character. Just when you think you know her, she surprises you with her perspective on various topics. It was her multifaceted nature and unique way of thinking that initially drew me to her. Our contrasting viewpoints will drive us towards personal growth and development."
Chelsea, a contestant on both Matt James' season 25 of The Bachelor and season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise, confessed her initial apprehension about being attracted to Austin due to past unsuccessful dating experiences within Bachelor Nation.
At first glance, she didn't believe she would fit his ideal type, considering his good looks, towering height of 6'6, and California upbringing. Chelsea openly admitted her doubts, thinking, "He's not interested in me." However, Austin pleasantly surprised her and consistently exceeded her expectations.
Their undeniable connection began to unfold as they engaged in deeper conversations. Chelsea found herself captivated by their intellectual and emotional compatibility. She was intrigued by Austin's unique way of thinking, which differed from her own. This paved the way for both of them to gain fresh perspectives and understand each other's viewpoints. This process continues to strengthen their bond.
The finale of Bachelor in Paradise Canada was delayed until Sunday, July 9, even though it had concluded in mid-2022. Chelsea, residing in New York City, and Austin, who was originally based in California, maintained a long-distance relationship for eight months before eventually moving in together in her apartment in February. Austin expressed how well he has adapted to the fast-paced lifestyle of New York City, stating that he has successfully navigated the city's train system without any mishaps thus far.

Apart from the absence of a dishwasher — which they hope to have in their next apartment for that extra touch of luxury — Chelsea expressed her genuine joy in returning to Austin.
"I want to ensure her comfort with my presence and the presence of another person in the house, and also make sure I am responsible and in control of everything. I believe that dealing with dishes is probably my weakest aspect," he humorously remarked.
In the discussion about the disparities between BiP Canada and the Mexican version of the show, Chelsea concurred with Us that there is greater emphasis on getting engaged in the American edition.
"We weren't thinking, 'Oh, I hope we get engaged.' We were just amazed that we had found love in such a short time. It's only been less than a month, so let's just be happy about it and move forward," she explained. "And with the fantasy suites in Mexico, they really emphasize that if you're not serious about potentially getting engaged, you shouldn't even go there."
Another distinction between the two versions of BiP is the person behind the bar. While Wells Adams has been the bartender in Mexico for years, Kevin Wendt, who met his wife Astrid Loch on season 5 of the beach spinoff, is the bartender on BiP Canada.
When asked about the superior bartender, Chelsea openly admitted, "I have to give it to Kevin." She explained that he seemed more engaged and attentive compared to Wells, who would frequently come and go without much interaction. Additionally, Wells held more of a hosting role during Chelsea's season. On the other hand, Kevin consistently worked behind the bar from nine to five and closely observed Chelsea and Austin. He even mentioned how their relationship reminded him of his and Astrid's, which she found endearing and comforting.
