Gear Chests are a common feature in the Assassin's Creed franchise, often containing items that players can utilize to their advantage during gameplay. In Assassin's Creed Mirage, these Gear Chests offer outfits and weapons with unique perks for battles. When players obtain a weapon from a specific group, they may find upgrade schematics for that item in another chest within the same area. Typically, each territory has a total of six Gear Chests, with three providing outfits and the others offering weapons.
During the Contact the Rebels mission in Assassin's Creed Mirage, players will come across a puzzle that leads to a Gear Chest in the Upper Harbor of Harbiyah. This particular Gear Chest is situated on a ship's deck, with two NPCs positioned at the far end of the ship. While players have the option to return to the puzzle later, it is more convenient to solve it during the mission, where Basim encounters it while attempting to free rebels.
How to Get the Upper Harbor Gear Chest
To access the chest hidden behind the shelves in the secret puzzle room, follow these simple steps. Start by clearing any enemies on the ship at the Upper Harbor for added safety.
Once cleared, make your way to the entrance door of the puzzle room. Push the first shelf to the end and then vault over to the right. Face the first shelf again and push it forward in a different direction. Now, position the first shelf on the extreme left.
Next, move to the second shelf located on the right side of the room. Pull the shelf towards Basim as far as it can go. This will reveal a passage further towards the back of the room, allowing you to reach the hidden chest.

1. Open the back-end passage.
2. Locate the third shelf and pull it towards Basim.
3. Proceed around the corner to find the fourth and final shelf, which is blocking the Gear Chest.
4. Pull the fourth shelf until it reaches the end.
5. As you move the shelf, you will notice that the pathway to the chest has now opened up.
Chest Reward
The player will receive the gear item or its upgrade schematic from the Gear Chest in the Upper Harbor of Harbiyah based on whether they have already found the particular gear item in a chest. Therefore, the Zanj Uprising Outfit or the Zanj Uprising Outfit Upgrade Schematic will be found in the Gear Chest.
