Dreamstones are a vital component of dinosaur care in the dino farm sim game, Paleo Pines, developed by Italic Pig. Within Paleo Pines, dinosaurs exhibit a range of needs, including sufficient nutrition, spacious enclosures, attention, and more. These enigmatic pink crystals, resembling quartz, are known as Dreamstones, and they are crucial for providing comfort and inducing sleep for each dinosaur.
Fortunately, players have the opportunity to discover Dreamstones of different sizes and shapes while exploring the captivating island environment of the dinosaur game, specifically within various regions like the initial Veridian Valley. Nevertheless, locating all Dreamstone positions can prove challenging due to numerous hidden locations or barriers obstructing access across the valley.
How To Get Dreamstone In Paleo Pines
Players can acquire dreamstones naturally in the expansive wilderness of Paleo Pines. These dreamstones, varying in size from small to large, are scattered across the map, waiting to be discovered. However, some dreamstones are cleverly concealed behind bushes, branches, and other obstacles, necessitating the assistance of specific dinosaurs such as the Smasher Styracosaurus and the Stomper Ankylosaurus to clear them.
Alternatively, players have the option to place personalized dreamstone orders at Marlo the carpenter's stall in the village. However, it is important to note that these custom orders require payment in the form of in-game shell currency. Players can obtain this currency by completing quests or occasionally receiving gifts from villagers. To place a custom order with Marlo, both small and large dreamstone sleeping patches come with a price tag of 250 shells each. Once the order is placed, it takes one in-game day for the dreamstones to arrive at the player's ranch mailbox. Additionally, some NPCs have the potential to generously present dreamstones to players as gifts or rewards.
Once players acquire a dreamstone, they are required to place it inside a pen for each resident dinosaur, as it serves as their designated sleeping spot. The dreamstone sleeping patches can be enhanced in appearance by utilizing collectible resources such as dandelions, fiber, and wood, resulting in an appealing tent-like design. Moreover, upgrading the sleeping patches alters the biome of the pen. It is imperative that every dinosaur possesses a dreamstone in order to maintain their happiness and ensure their continued presence on the player's ranch, as it is an essential aspect of their overall well-being.
Dreamstone Locations In Veridian Valley
There are a total of 18 dreamstones to be discovered in Veridian Valley, divided into two sizes. There are 11 large dreamstones, indicated by big pink circles on the map, and seven small dreamstones represented by smaller circles. The final large dreamstone is located in the northeastern part of the map, specifically in the Mysterious Garden. Paleo Pines players can obtain it by repairing a section of the garden.
As players continue to explore and unlock different areas of the map, they will come across additional dreamstones in the forest of Dapplewood and the desert region. However, in order to obtain all the dreamstones, players must establish friendships with dinosaurs who possess the abilities of smashing, stomping, and slashing.
In Paleo Pines, there are two types of dreamstones - large and small. Larger dinosaur species need large dreamstones for their wellbeing, while smaller dinos like Pssitacosauris only require a small one.
You can now play Paleo Pines on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
