In a recent episode of The Kardashians, which premiered on Thursday, July 6, Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian finally addressed their ongoing disagreement regarding Dolce & Gabbana. They reached the conclusion that their relationship never fully healed after their physical altercation in 2020.
Kourtney, aged 44, expressed her concerns, stating that Kim, aged 42, secretly planned a partnership with the Italian fashion brand without her knowledge. She shared her sentiment of disappointment, explaining that it felt terrible that her sister used her wedding as a business opportunity, prioritizing money over their bond. Kourtney further explained that Kim never genuinely asked her for her opinion, indicating a lack of understanding of how to handle a potential rejection.
Kim, however, argued that the distance between her and Kourtney started years before her professional venture with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
"We rarely spend time together anymore, none of us. It's been ages since we had a family dinner. I don't know if it's just because of this incident. It's been this way ever since we had that fight at Khloé's old house. That's where it all began," mentioned the Skims founder. "And you've been caught up in Travis' world."
Kourtney acknowledged that she and her siblings were at different stages in their lives, but emphasized that it didn't prevent them from doing things together. Viewers of Keeping Up With the Kardashians witnessed their intense feud during season 18 in 2020, where Kim and Kourtney resorted to physical violence over a disagreement about the work ethic of the Lemme founder. Although they seemed to reconcile, their drama resurfaced in season 3 of The Kardashians.
Kim issued a threat, stating, "I promise I will physically harm you," to her sister, who defiantly responded, "Go ahead and try."
Meanwhile, Khloé, aged 39, intervened, trying to prevent the altercation from escalating. However, Kourtney proceeded to aggressively scratch Kim's arm. Frustrated, Kim questioned her sister's maturity, asking, "Seriously, how old are you?"
Kim and Kourtney appeared to have momentarily resolved their differences as they redirected their focus towards shooting The Kardashians.
Speaking on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast in 2022, Kourtney expressed, "During our fights, there would be moments where I had so much anger that I would even consider physically harming my sister. It was a really intense period." She further explained, "I think some of us have a stronger inclination to create space or pursue our own interests. I prefer to maintain my personal bubble and adhere to the saying, 'Protect your energy.' I enjoy being in my own little world and only engaging with it as and when I please."
The tension between the two resurfaced when filming began for the third season of the popular Hulu series. In the latest episode, Kim sincerely apologized to Kourtney for the negative impact their partnership with Dolce & Gabbana had on her. Ultimately, Kourtney accepted her apology. New episodes of The Kardashians are released by Hulu every Thursday.
