Kim and Kourtney Kardashian appear to have a sense of humor when it comes to their ongoing conflict with Dolce & Gabbana. On Friday, October 27, Kim, 43, shared a photo of Corey Gamble, who is dating their mother Kris Jenner, in relation to his recent collaboration with D&G. Kim tagged Kourtney, 44, and included the side eyes emoji, "."
Kim Kardashian, the founder of Skims, seemed to be mocking her disagreement with the Poosh founder on the latest episodes of The Kardashians. The tension between them arose when Kim revealed her plan to collaborate with D&G after Kourtney had incorporated the fashion brand into her wedding with Travis Barker in May 2022.
During a July episode of the Hulu series, Kourtney expressed her disappointment, saying, "It's terrible that my sister saw my wedding as a business opportunity. She prioritized money over our relationship. That's why she never genuinely approached me about it." She further explained, "It's not that she forgot or didn't think I would mind. I think she didn't know how to handle it if I had said no."
Kim, however, contended that she made a conscious effort to not select items that Kourtney had worn during her wedding weekend in Italy with Barker, 46. She also alleged that Kourtney had taken inspiration from her own previous marriage to now ex-husband Kanye West.
"I got married in Italy. Am I insinuating that you copied me by getting married in Italy? Who was the performer at my wedding? Andrea Bocelli. Who performed at Kourtney's wedding? Andrea Bocelli," Kim stated in a confessional. "You took my wedding location and my wedding performer. Andrea Bocelli is my favorite male singer of all time, but now I'm imitating your Dolce Vita lifestyle?"
Despite seemingly reconciling while wrapping up filming for season 3, tension resurfaced among the women when episodes started airing months later. This tension was evident in a dramatic phone call at the beginning of season 4.
Accusing Kim of self-centeredness, Kourtney remarked, "You are fixated on insignificant details because your egotistical and selfish mind can't handle someone else being the center of attention." She went on to claim that Kim was not "happy" at her own wedding and incessantly "complained" throughout the entire event. Kim vehemently denied these accusations, emphasizing that she was genuinely "so happy" for her sister.
Kim accused, "You hold a deep grudge against us. Your disdain for us is palpable." She continued, " You have transformed into an entirely different individual, and it is a subject of discussion amongst us all." Kim's sister, overwhelmed by emotions, erupted into tears and admonished Kim to "find something more meaningful to occupy your time."
Despite the temporary resurgence of the conflict, Kourtney appeared to initiate a step towards reconciliation during the episode aired on October 12. It was unveiled by Kim that her sister had graciously shared a photograph of their deceased father, Robert Kardashian, during his college years.
Kim mentioned that receiving a text from Kourtney made her believe that they were progressing in the right direction and leaving all the drama behind, as she expressed to the cameras.
Kourtney, who is currently anticipating her first child with Barker, clarified her decision to initiate contact. "I believe both of us ended up saying things that we now regret. However, anyone who has siblings understands this kind of dynamic," she explained. "Even after an intense argument, a light-hearted text message can mend everything and restore harmony."
