A new trailer and key visual for the highly-awaited anime adaptation of the Shibuya Incident arc of JUJUTSU KAISEN were unveiled on Friday. It was announced that the second season will continue on August 31. The trailer offers a glimpse of the new opening theme song titled "SPECIALZ" by King Gnu, along with the menacing group of antagonists preparing to strike on Halloween.

The trailer begins with Suguru Getō outlining a plan involving Gojō and a seal, emphasizing the execution date of October 31. Yuji Itadori, the series protagonist, presents a more serious demeanor in this trailer, determined to prove himself as a skilled Jujutsu Sorcerer.

The majority of the trailer showcases action-packed scenes that we can expect from the upcoming arc in the JUJUTSU KAISEN storyline. In the central visual, Yuji is prominently featured, walking towards the viewer, surrounded by the other characters involved in this arc. A collaged background displays Gojo's ominous smile emerging from Yuji's shadow at the bottom of the poster, while Geto is positioned directly opposite.

The JUJUTSU KAISEN anime series is based on Gege Akutami's manga, which has been published in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since March 2018. It currently consists of 23 volumes as of July. The prequel, Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, was originally published in the Jump Giga magazine from April to July 2017 and collected into a single volume known as JUJUTSU KAISEN 0. VIZ Media has obtained the license for the English publication of the series since December 2019, with 20 volumes currently available and the 21st set to release in November.

The first season of the anime aired 24 episodes from October 2020 to March 2021. It was followed by the film adaptation of JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 in December 2021. The ongoing second season premiered in July and has showcased 5 episodes dedicated to the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, delving into Satoru Gojō's past and the primary antagonist Suguru Getō from JUJUTSU KAISEN 0. The last episode of this arc aired on August 3. The remaining 18 episodes will adapt the Shibuya Incident arc, with the broadcast set to begin on August 31.
