Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran's Shark Tank co-star, had a misguided first impression of her during the filming of season 1 in 2009. Corcoran playfully invited him into her hotel room for a drink, but John quickly retreated to his own room, slamming the door shut.
Years later, Corcoran revealed that John, aged 54, had misunderstood her intentions, thinking that she was hitting on him. However, she clarified that she was simply trying to have some lighthearted fun with him. It is worth mentioning that both Corcoran and John are currently in committed relationships. Corcoran has been happily married to her husband, Bill Higgins, since 1988, while John recently tied the knot with Heather Taras in 2018.
Despite this initial misunderstanding, Corcoran shared that John is highly regarded within the Shark Tank family, often seen as a favorite. Describing their dynamic, she likened it to a "dysfunctional family," with Robert aspiring to be like Mark Cuban as the older brother figure, the one in charge. Corcoran also mentioned Lori, who encourages everyone to handle conflicts and disagreements with maturity, comparing it to sharing toys nicely when someone takes them.
Referring to costar Kevin O'Leary, Corcoran playfully referred to him as "the town bully," remarking, "However, despite our dysfunction, we somehow blend well together, just like any other family."
While she has great affection for her fellow cast members, the businesswoman praised former guest Shark Kevin Hart as "the most intelligent Shark we had on set." Nevertheless, she remains "frustrated" with the comedian for rejecting a business opportunity with her. Hart, aged 44, previously featured in two episodes of season 13 in 2022.

"He initially chose Lori as his partner, and later on, he gave me an opportunity to join him. However, when I expressed hesitation regarding the price proposed by the entrepreneur, I stated that we were not being adequately compensated. Kevin then made the decision to eliminate me from the venture, and Mark stepped in," she revealed. "Kevin commented that when a girl jumps out of your bed, you need to replace her with someone else, in this case, he replaced me with Mark. He can be incorrigible, but there's no denying his exceptional skills. He is truly remarkable."
With the highly anticipated season 15 premiere just around the corner, Corcoran dropped a hint about what fans can expect - a wave of enterprising and tenacious young individuals entering the tank. Expressing her enthusiasm, she revealed, "I felt an overwhelming desire to back every single pitch, although that wasn't feasible. Nonetheless, I may have gone a little overboard with my investments this season." She went on to add, "Yet, I managed to secure some remarkable individuals who possess exceptional aspirations but lack financial resources. The stakes are higher as they rely on Shark Tank to realize their dreams. Filming this season was an exhilarating experience unlike any other year."
Season 15 of Shark Tank will premiere on ABC at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, September 29. The cast includes Lori Greiner, Mark Cuban, Clay Newbill, Barbara Corcoran, Kevin O'Leary, Yun Lingner, and Daymond John.
