Tyler Hynes and Andrew Walker, close companions for almost twenty years, have not gone unnoticed by fans of the Hallmark Channel.
"We communicate every week," Walker revealed exclusively to We in February 2023, discussing his relationship with Hynes, who happens to be his wife Cassandra Troy's cousin. "I've been acquainted with him for 19 years, ever since he began joining our family for Christmas gatherings when I first met my wife. We possess a profound admiration for one another."
In November 2021, the two actors finally made guest appearances in each other's Hallmark holiday films. Exactly a year later, Hynes and Walker acted together in their first collaborative Hallmark movie, titled Three Wise Men and a Baby.
"It was an ideal situation to work with Tyler, who happens to be my wife's cousin," Walker revealed exclusively to Us in February 2023, referring to the 2022 film. "And on top of that, Paul wrote this incredible script with Kimberley, and they were both already doing amazing things."

Hallmark Channel’s Tyler Hynes and Andrew Walker’s BFF Moments: From Their Familial Link to Costarring in Holiday Movies
Tyler Hynes and Andrew Walker have shared a close bond for almost twenty years, and fans of the Hallmark Channel have definitely noticed. In an exclusive interview with We magazine in February 2023, Walker revealed that he and Hynes communicate on a weekly basis. Hynes happens to be Walker's wife Cassandra Troy's cousin and their friendship began when they first met during Christmas gatherings at Troy's house. The two have developed a strong and profound admiration for one another.

But the fact that he made the effort to not only fly to his parents' place but also drive for hours just to support me demonstrates how fortunate I am to have him as part of my family," Walker praised.

Walker paid homage to Hynes in his 2023 holiday film, Christmas Island, by subtly referencing Hynes' unique candy cane habit from the previous year's movie, Three Wise Men and a Baby. In one scene, while adorning his family's home with Christmas decorations, Walker playfully chewed on a candy cane, spreading festive joy. Walker revealed in an exclusive interview with Us in November 2023 that he wanted to fully embrace the character of "Mr. Christmas" by adding additional festive elements like a wreath or ribbon. However, he still felt that something was missing until he incorporated the candy cane into the scene.
In that moment, Walker had an epiphany. Observing the candy canes on the Christmas tree, he was suddenly inspired to infuse his Christmas Island character with the energetic spirit of Tyler Hynes. With a sparkle in his eye, Walker declared, "I'm going to pay homage to Tyler by playfully mimicking his iconic candy cane chewing scene from Three Wise Men. Viewers adore our banter and any appearances we make together."
