Hallmark Media kicked off the year 2023 with a bang, unleashing a frenzy of movie madness. The network's first wave of releases, which hit the screens in January, comprised six new films, setting the tone for an exciting year ahead. Among the highlights were three eagerly anticipated new chapters of the beloved Wedding Veil trilogy, featuring a star-studded cast that included Lacey Chabert, Autumn Reeser, and Alison Sweeney, all airing on the Hallmark Channel. Additionally, fans were treated to a brand new franchise on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, the intriguing and captivating Family History Mysteries: Buried Past.
Sweeney expressed her excitement at the possibility of reuniting with her co-stars from The Wedding Veil movies, which premiered in 2022. "I genuinely adored those movies, not only because of the chance to collaborate with Lacey and Autumn, but also because I learned just how amazing, talented, and powerful these women truly are," she revealed exclusively to We in October 2022. As the lead in The Wedding Veil Legacy, the former soap opera star can't wait to see her colleagues once again on the set.
Sweeney expressed her delight about the enjoyable experience of filming the movie. She shared that one memorable night, the cast gathered in someone's hotel room, drinking wine and running lines. The atmosphere was reminiscent of being at camp, and they had so much fun together. Chabert also expressed her happiness about being able to tell more stories for the franchise in January 2023, as she shared with Entertainment Tonight.
"I was eagerly looking forward to how the story unfolded as most movies end with the characters falling in love or sharing that last kiss. It was exciting to finally witness how their relationship progressed, how they started building their careers and homes together, whether they were starting families, and the challenges they faced as a couple. I was also curious to see the fun they had together." The Mean Girls actress expressed her enthusiasm. Hallmark began its annual "Loveuary" programming the next month, featuring a plethora of new romantic comedies and stories to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Hallmark Media’s 2023 Movie Lineup: A Complete Guide to Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ New Films
Hallmark Media made a grand entrance in 2023 with a flurry of movie releases. The network started the year with a bang by debuting six new films, setting the stage for more to come. Amongst the January releases were three new parts of the beloved Wedding Veil trilogy, featuring notable actresses Lacey Chabert, Autumn Reeser, and Alison Sweeney, as well as a fresh franchise on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries titled Family History Mysteries: Buried Past.
Sweeney expressed her excitement about the possibility of reuniting with her co-stars from The Wedding Veil movies, which premiered in 2022. "I would absolutely love the opportunity to work with Lacey and Autumn again," she told us exclusively in October 2022. "They are such wonderful, strong women and I learned so much from them during our time on set. The experience was truly unforgettable." As the lead in The Wedding Veil Legacy, Sweeney is particularly eager to see her former colleagues once again.
Sweeney expressed how much fun she had working on the project with her co-stars, citing an enjoyable evening spent running lines and socializing in a hotel room. She compared the experience to being at summer camp and cherished the camaraderie they shared. On the other hand, Chabert expressed her excitement in being able to contribute to the franchise by telling three more stories in January 2023, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.
Dan Jeannotte, the star of Sweeter Than Chocolate, shared with Us in February that he considers himself lucky to have worked with great people and filmed in beautiful locations while working on Hallmark movies. He went on to explain that Sweeter Than Chocolate stands out to him as a unique romantic comedy because it includes snippets of various kinds of love stories, not just the main characters' romance. This is why it's his favorite Hallmark movie.
