Jujutsu Kaisen's Satoru Gojo may have died because of his ego
Satoru Gojo can be seen in the popular anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. In chapter 236, it is revealed that Gojo has met his demise, leaving fans questioning how Ryomen Sukuna was able to defeat him. The previous chapter, 235, concluded with Gojo emerging as the victor in his battle against Sukuna. However, to everyone's surprise, the subsequent chapter shows Gojo existing in the afterlife.
The manga teased Sukuna's utilization of a fresh variation of Dismantle to overpower Gojo. By enhancing the original technique with Megumi's Mahoraga, Sukuna managed to achieve this remarkable feat. However, fans are still grappling with the enigma of how Sukuna was able to accomplish such a formidable move.
In chapter 235, Sukuna appeared battered, with one arm and an eye missing, and seemingly low on cursed energy. It was strange, therefore, that in the following chapter he was able to execute such a move. What made it even more astonishing was that Gojo, despite his abilities, couldn't avoid the attack.
Satoru Gojo was born with the Six Eyes, enabling him to detect all types of cursed energy around him. Additionally, he was skilled in using cursed and reverse cursed energy, employing both during his battle against Sukuna. Therefore, it made no sense that Gojo, who had emerged victorious in the fight against Sukuna, couldn't evade a single attack from the King of Curses.

In terms of Kashimo's skills, he successfully evaded several assaults from Sukuna, including the notorious Dismantle technique.
So, how did Gojo come to his downfall? One can only surmise that his ego played a crucial role. Similar to Madara Uchiha in Naruto Shippuden, Gojo perhaps grew overconfident in his triumph and let his guard down.

In Naruto, Madara, the most powerful fighter on the battlefield, was unexpectedly pierced in the torso by Black Zetsu's hand while vulnerable. Despite Zetsu not being known as the strongest character, he managed to defeat Madara using his distinctive abilities.
Similarly, it is possible that Satoru Gojo, like Madara, was defeated as a result of his own overconfidence. Perhaps believing he had already won the fight, he let his guard down, allowing Sukuna to launch a surprise attack and ultimately sever him in two.
