Treasure Vaults can appear daunting, especially in the late-game area, but these mini-dungeons are actually relatively easy challenges for players in Hogwarts Legacy. The majority of the Treasure Vaults involve puzzle-solving, but there are also some that only require players to visit them.

During the exploration of Hogwarts Valley, players will come across numerous Treasure Vaults scattered throughout the region. It's important to note that unlocking these vaults will necessitate the use of specific spells in Hogwarts Legacy to solve certain puzzles.

Updated on July 31, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: In contrast to the majority of large Regions comprising 16 Treasure Vaults, Hogwarts Valley stands out with only 14. Although this may sound like a significant number, the puzzles in Hogwarts Legacy in this particular Region are comparatively more manageable. Students do not require a wide range of Spells to unravel the mysteries. Instead, they can rely on commonly used incantations such as Incendio, Depulso, Wingardium Leviosa, and others.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vaults And How To Open Them In Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Valley is home to 14 Treasure Vaults, waiting to be discovered. Within this region lie a multitude of enchanted cubes, each requiring a specific spell to unlock the vault's entrance.

Treasure Vault #1

Treasure Vault #2

Head northwest from the West Hogwarts Valley's Floo Flame until you reach the first vault, which is protected by a duo of spiders. Explore the interior and retrieve the chest by casting a fire spell to incinerate the webs.

Head back to the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame, but this time, opt for a broom or a flying mount to soar northwards towards the mountain. After some time, you'll be able to spot a ruined castle seamlessly merged with the landscape. Descend upon it to confront and conquer your adversaries. Then continue north to locate the mystical cube. Lead it back to its rightful place on the platform and unleash the power of Incendio to unlock the entrance to the vault. To ascend the towering platform, use Accio to summon a box and position it beside the vault, and then cast Levioso to levitate it upward.

Treasure Vault #3

Fast travel to the picturesque West Hogwarts Valley and soar towards the northeastern direction to arrive at the illustrious third vault. Utilize the spell Accio or Wingardium Leviosa to seize hold of the bewitched cube, and once properly positioned, cast Levioso to maintain its levitation. In order to obtain the treasure, approach the wall adjacent to the entrance of the room, thereby unveiling a concealed chest.

Treasure Vault #4

To reach the fourth vault, head southeast from the Floo Flame. You will come across a small balcony where the vault is located. Look for an enchanted cube on the hill to the north and bring it back with you. Use the spell Levioso to enter the vault. Inside, you will encounter a couple of Inferi that you must defeat in order to claim the treasure.

Treasure Vault #5

Travel to Keenbridge Floo Flame and head east until you come across a ravaged castle. Direct your attention to the ground and dismantle the wooden floors in order to unveil the entrance to the vault. Utilize the spells Depulso or Accio to unlock the door, then venture inside to tackle the intricate puzzle that awaits in Hogwarts Legacy.

Grab the enchanted cube using Wingardium Leviosa and levitate it through the opening above the shorter pillars to the other side.

Aim at the cube from the small opening between the pillars.

Cast a fire spell to activate it and remove the obstacles.

Claim the chest.

Discover the sixth vault that is conveniently situated near the preceding one by continuing your journey westward in Hogwarts Legacy. Adjacent to a mesmerizing Merlin Trial, embark upon an immersive underwater exploration to stumble upon a lifeless figure and seize the hidden riches on the opposite bank.

Go to Keenbridge Floo Flame and swim northeast to dive into the seventh vault. Head southeast to find a locked door.

To open it, turn southwest to find the door’s lever then pull it using Accio. Enter the room to find two treasure chests.

Treasure Vault #8

From the Keenbridge waypoint, head in the northeastern direction to discover the eighth Treasure Vault. Upon entering, you will encounter a series of obstructing rocks that can be easily demolished using Depulso spell in Hogwarts Legacy. Proceed eastward and eliminate the vines to uncover the hidden treasure.

Treasure Vault #9

Venture towards the Northern South Sea Bog Floo Flame region and soar towards the northwest. To gain access to the ninth vault, players are tasked with discovering the mystical cube and successfully casting the appropriate spell within Hogwarts Legacy. Employing Revelio will assist in locating the cube towards the northwest area. Then, skillfully guide it back and activate it by invoking the power of Levioso.

Explore the area to discover a captivating sight—12 levers and a treasure chest securely sealed. To unveil the mystery and determine the precise levers to pull, channel your magical energy into casting Revelio as it will illuminate the necessary levers in a mesmerizing shade of blue. Remember, since the arrangement is subject to change due to the random sequence, keep your intuition sharp.

Treasure Vault #10

Now, proceed to The Mine’s Eye waypoint and head northwest in search of the designated vault. Dispatch the Inferi guarding the entrance and forcefully unlock it by employing either Accio or Depulso spells. Fortunately, players will find the chest readily accessible, as there won't be any puzzle to solve within.

Treasure Vault #11

To locate an Ancient Magic spot near the Treasure Vault at Central Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame, proceed in a southeast direction. In order to gain entry into the vault, players are required to acquire access to the abandoned castle. Utilize the spell Depulso on both mechanisms to unlock the gates.

Upon entering, proceed in a westerly direction to locate the eleventh vault. While en route, be sure to collect the enchanted cube and utilize the Wingardium Leviosa spell to elevate it onto the second floor, where its designated platform awaits. Activate the cube by soaring upwards and deploying the Levioso charm. Once accomplished, proceed into the vault and select one of the two moving statues to uncover the hidden treasure.

Treasure Vault #12

The twelfth vault is found east of the Brocburrow Floo Flame. Defeat the Dark Mongrels and turn east to see the vault’s lever.

Go inside the dungeon to spot three piles of bones, which need to be guided to the platform in the center. This causes a treasure chest to spawn underneath the bones.

Treasure Vault #13

Proceed by heading north from the Brocburrow waypoint until you arrive at the following Treasure Vault. Contained within, you will discover the desired enchanted cube, located towards the southwest of the vault's entrance. Cast Glacius upon the cube once it is obtained to gain access to the vault.The chest can be found by entering the portal situated on the opposite side and then reversing your direction.

Treasure Vault #14

The final Treasure Vault is located south of the Lower Hogsfield Floo Flame. Inside, there is a rather tricky puzzle that needs to be solved. To start, proceed south and pull the lever to open the door of the vault.

Second, utilize Revelio within the vault to locate an ordinary cube positioned atop a platform, serving as the pivotal element for unraveling the puzzle. Apply Wingardium Leviosa and transport it to the concealed chest adjacent to the stairs in order to gradually descend the terrain.

All Necessary Spells To Unlock Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vaults In Hogwarts Legacy

It’s crucial to learn the necessary Spells before exploring any Treasure Vault in Hogwarts Valley.

Accio

Levioso

Pairing Accio with Descendo can greatly enhance one's combat abilities in Hogwarts Legacy. Mastering this powerful Spell is a breeze, as it is naturally taught during one of the Main Quests.

In one of her Defense Against the Dark Arts classes, Professor Hecat instructs the students on the usage of Levioso. This Spell is primarily employed in combat scenarios to levitate adversaries, however, it also proves to be highly advantageous in the realm of puzzle-solving.

Wingardium Leviosa

To obtain Wingardium Leviosa in Hogwarts Legacy, students must successfully finish Assignment 1 Quest in the Herbology Classroom led by Professor Garlick. The quest comprises of two crucial tasks, namely:

1. Obtain and utilize a Venomous Tentacula.

Acquire and use a Mandrake on multiple enemies simultaneously.

Both the Venomous Tentacula and Mandrake can be purchased at Dogweed & Deathcap in Hogsmeade.

Depulso

Players can learn Depulso from Professor Sharp after completing a few tasks:

Get and use a Focus Potion.

Get both the Maxima and Edurus Potions and use them together. You can easily get these potions from Hogsmeade in case the students are unwilling to brew them. Once you have finished these two tasks, go back to the Potion Classroom located in the Dungeons to successfully fulfill Professor Sharp's Assignment 1 Quest.

Fire Spells

To access the treasure in the Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vaults of Hogwarts Legacy, players will require Fire Spells for various tasks such as activating cubes, burning spider webs, or overcoming enemies. The game offers multiple Fire Spells options, including:

- Incendio: Fulfill Professor Hecat's Assignment I Quest.

Confringo: Complete In the Shadow of the Undercroft Quest.

Bombarda: Complete Professor Howin's Assignment Quest.
