In Diablo 4, Capstone Dungeons pose as exciting obstacles for players seeking to advance to higher levels of difficulty. Among these, the Fallen Temple acts as the gatekeeper to Nightmare and Torment modes, presenting a daunting challenge for those who wish to push their characters to the limit. With its abundance of demonic adversaries and oppressive gameplay mechanics, even the most skilled of adventurers will need to rely on more than just a solid build to triumph in this level 70+ dungeon.
Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon Location in Diablo 4
Players who have completed the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon in Kyovashad will have the opportunity to explore World Tier 3 and its vast offerings. In due time, a quest will appear for the Fallen Temple, which will entice players with its tempting bonuses in loot, gold, and EXP upon reaching World Tier 4. The temple is situated in the volcanic Chambatar Ridge region of the Dry Steppes, where demonic cultists gather to pay homage to the Prime Evils, as seen in the third act of the campaign. To access the dungeon's entrance, teleport to Fate's Retreat and head east according to the map provided.
Players in this section of the game must complete the task of returning two stone tablets to their pedestals and collect Animus from Animus Carriers in the subsequent hall. However, players should be aware that returning a tablet will result in them being subjected to either the Curse of the Indolent or the Curse of the Weak. The Curse of the Indolent will increase the duration of crowd control effects on the player, while the Curse of the Weak will increase the damage they take.
The objectives of stacking both abilities can be achieved up to 50 times and their effects can be simultaneously active. The number of stacks can be decreased by eliminating foes. The ultimate challenge awaits once both objectives are accomplished; facing off against Elias, the formidable Hatred's Remnant. This version of Elias is even more powerful than before, with a new set of attacks that deal greater damage. Though the curses are not a concern, Elias's strength is so immense that they may as well still be in effect. To stand a chance against this boss, it is strongly advised to be at Level 70 and equipped with high resistance gear to avoid being defeated in a single blow.
By defeating Elias, players can unlock World Tier 4 at the World Tier Statue located in Kyovashad. This achievement will result in the Torment difficulty level dropping even more Legendaries and Uniques, along with the added bonus of Ancestral variants of all items. Diablo 4 is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
