To reach the majestic Mountaintops of the Giants in Elden Ring, players must make their way to the distinguished Grand Lift of Rold. This remarkable lift, positioned to the east of Leyndell, the Royal Capital, grants access to the towering peaks. The activation of the lift requires the utilization of the esteemed Rold Medallion.
How To Get The Rold Medallion In Elden Ring
Players receive the Rold Medallion from Melina as a reward for conquering Morgott, The Omen King in Leyndell, the Royal Capital. Unlike defeating other Elden Ring bosses, there is no Site of Lost Grace that appears after defeating the Omen King. Instead, Tarnished must first ascend the grand staircase and interact with the locked entrance of the Erdtree. Once that is done, they can descend the stairs, and the bonfire will be waiting.
How To Get To The Grand Lift Of Rold
After seeking respite at the Site of Lost Grace, players will encounter Melina, known as the Maiden. In a solemn revelation, she explains that gaining access to the mysterious realm beyond the Erdtree is currently unfeasible. However, Melina discloses an alternative approach, urging the players to embark on an arduous expedition to the summit of Mountaintops of the Giants. There, they must set fire to the legendary Erdtree. Concluding her impartation, Melina bestows upon the players the revered Rold Medallion and discreetly marks a crimson spot on their map.
Northeast of the Forbidden Lands Site of Lost Grace lies the majestic Grand Lift of Rold. Tarnished, on their quest in Elden Ring, must first navigate through the Royal Capital to eventually reach this awe-inspiring lift.
First, players should teleport to Avenue Balcony Site of Lost Grace in Leyndell, Royal Capital then head northeast to the giant closed gate.
Upon opening this gate, Tarnished should proceed east to the stairs on the left and then climb them.
Once players reach the top of the stairs, they should turn left and go through the archway. Next, they should use the wooden elevator to go up and then keep walking east.
After crossing the long bridge, Tarnished will find themselves facing a stone elevator that leads to the Forbidden Lands Site of Lost Grace.
Once here, ignite the bonfire and summon Torrent to embark on a journey to the northeast. To confirm arrival at the correct destination, players will witness the emergence of the formidable boss, Black Blade Kindred. Instead of engaging in combat, swiftly dash past and seek refuge in the adjacent structure. Inside, proceed to illuminate the Site of Lost Grace positioned on the right. Subsequently, ascend the stairway and employ the power of the Elden Ring medallion to activate the awe-inspiring Grand Lift of Rold. This mechanized marvel will transport the Tarnished to the majestic Mountaintops of the Giants.
Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
