In BLEACH Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 Episode 11, the enigmatic Pernida Parnkgjas, a member of Yhwach's Royal Guard, is finally revealed in a new light. Up until this point, Pernida has been shrouded in mystery, hidden beneath a long cloak that conceals their entire body and a shadow-drenched hood that obscures their face. However, their piercing, luminous eyes always manage to peer out into the world. Despite their minimal appearances thus far, Pernida's silent voice is heard exclusively by Quincies. It is through the intermediary communication of Lille Barro that Pernida scoffs at the massive soldier summoned by Shutara Senjumaru, dismissing it as mere showmanship. While it is partially true that we have yet to witness Pernida fully uncloaked, a momentous revelation occurs in the opening scene of "Too Early to Win, Too Late to Know." During Ichibe Hyosube's visit to the Lichtreich before the onset of the first Quincy Blood War a millennium ago, a confrontation between the monk and Yhwach unveils Pernida's true form. Hyosube exposes a colossal, pale-skinned left arm with an eye embedded in its palm, boasting two irises - reminiscent of Yhwach's own abilities at that time.
Cornerstone of Sin
This is the true form of Pernida - the sentient Left Hand of the Soul King, the embodiment of progress itself. Hyosube infused the Soul King's Left Hand in preparation for Yhwach's potential aggression, using it against him when he activated his all-knowing ability, The Almighty. With Pernida's powers, Hyosube was able to seal away Yhwach's strongest ability until his demise. However, the appendage was eventually freed from the Shinigami when it came into contact with Yhwach's Blut. As a result, the arm joined Yhwach's forces and became a Sternritter, fully identifying as a Quincy. Pernida and Gerard Valkyrie are the only Sternritter who possess inherent powers, not granted by Yhwach, due to their origins as body parts of the Soul King that have gained sentience. Therefore, Yhwach's assignment of the Schrift to Pernida is more of an acknowledgment of its extraordinary abilities, with Pernida designated as C - The Compulsory, symbolizing the concept of evolution it embodies.

Originally a composite being, the Soul King serves as the anchor of all three worlds in the BLEACH universe. In the past, he encompassed a Quincy, Shinigami, and Hollow, with no regulated flow of souls between realms.
